'King of the Hill' Co-Creator Greg Daniels to Bring Primetime Animation to NBC
NBC has signed a new deal with King of the Hill co-creator Greg Daniels, with the aim of moving into prime-time animation.
NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt revealed that the production deal with Daniels will involve various programming, but will mainly focus on animation, with hopes of rivalling Fox's domination with shows such as The Simpsons and Family Guy. Daniels co-created King of the Hill with Mike Judge for Fox in 1997. He has also written for The Simpsons and Seinfeld. More recently, he has been behind NBC's US version of The Office, as well as Parks and Recreation. Greenblatt was previously at Fox, before moving to Showtime.
