Edith stays and comforts a dying woman at the Sunshine Nursing Home, but to placate the enraged son-in-law of the deceased, Edith is fired.
Edith teaches us how to deal with the dying in an episode that is not funny, but is outstanding drama. |

That was a great episode from what I remember. Jean Stapleton was always amazing in "All In The Family" in the comedy scenes but especially in the dramatic ones.

That was a great episode.....and just for the record, they had no business firing her. I haven't seen it in quite awhile, but i think Archie said it best that Edith did the right thing because it was what the woman asked of her and that's God's business or something of the sort. However, it would be hard for me to not do anything because I work in security and I would work on instinct, but I also believe in giving someone their last wish. Buon the other hand, if that was my grandma I KNOW I would do everything to save her (selfishly) and hope she would forgive me.
