Default Niles and Daphne-Before or After?

I decided to make a poll to find out how many people preferred Niles and Daphne before they became a couple or after. A lot of people say the show "jumped the shark" when Niles and Daphne got together. I disagree. I mean there wasn't the comedic reactions of Niles when he was around Daphne, but it was still funny after they got together. I just wanted to get people's opinions. I am kind of in the middle. I really got a kick out of Niles' physical reactions to Daphne but at the same time I just loved them together. Vote for your preference, now! Thanks.

I think both... Although Niles was completely adorable pining away for Daphne, I was thrilled when she finally realized that she loved him and they got together. It goes without saying that I think they are the most adorable couple ever!

Default Mom and Dad introduced me to Frasier

I was first introduced to Frasier when visiting my parents many many years ago. Now I have a Cafe Nervosa Yahoo group (with probably close to 1,000 images mostly screne captions), 2 complete series of Frasier on DVD, coffee mugs, shirts, and a Cafe Nervosa apron on the way.

My parents think the show jumped the shark when N&D got together.

Some of my favorite episodes were:

And The Dish Ran Away With The Spoon Parts 1 & 2 where Frasier and Martin set them up on a date on the roof

Taking Liberties where Niles finally tells Mel off

Both episodes in season 8.

I liked both before N&D were together (the jokes and situations were hillarious) and after (the romances). But I didn't like the episodes when they were married and Daphne was mean to Niles (a bit bossy). I guess the writers were trying to find a new angle for jokes between them.

I love both of those episodes. Two of my favorites.

Do you feel the show "jumped the shark" when Niles and Daphne got together. I know you said your parents thought it did, but what did you think?
I don't think the show "jumped the shark" at all. I mean Niles pined away for Daphne for six years, something had to give. It was either have Niles tell Daphne how he felt and have them get together, or have Niles tell Daphne how he felt and let them go their separate ways. I can tell you though, a lot of N/D fans wouldn't have been happy if Niles and Daphne hadn't gotten together, me included. The reason why Niles and Daphne ended up together was the fact that WE voted for it. We wanted them together.
The show would have lost a lot of viewers and it would have ended sooner than it did. The show lasted 4 years after Niles and Daphne got together. That doesn't sound like "jumping the shark" to me.

About Daphne being bossy to Niles after they were married was mainly after she was pregnant. She was very moody and it was explained away and never even brought up again. I thought Niles and Daphne had a great marriage. I would have been happy to have seen more "lovey-dovey" stuff in season 11, but despite that they were in love and happy and they had a baby. They were amazing together.

I Loved the show from begining to end. The later seasons were loosing some luster, but no, I don't think the show jumped the shark. If they would have gone another one or two seasons and run it into the ground, I would have gone into the ground with it. Best show ever made. I loved the show where Frasier finally tells Niles that Daphne knows he has feeling for him and he thinks she feels the same way. I think the D&N proposal and the wedding could have been a more sentimental. Loved the D&N thing all the way through.

Cool

I love the episodes before they got together when it was so blatantly obvious that Niles was in love with Daphne. At least obvious to everyone except Daphne!!!
