Radio show/need your advice & suggestions - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

The disappearance this summer of 20-year-old Indiana University student Lauren Spierer has been covered extensively by local, state and national media. Unfortunately, as you know, she is one of thousands of missing persons in the U.S. whose cases remain unsolved.

For the past few weeks I've been doing research on missing persons from Indiana (my home state) and trying to come up with a plan for a 30 minute bi-weekly radio show that could be run by stations all over the state as part of their required public affairs commitment. I worked as a radio news reporter for many years and believe this show would be a good way to get the word out about the missing and hopefully garner some tips that might help bring them home.

Right now I'm trying to find a state or federal grant to cover the production costs for the show...if only for a one year period.

I know the level of commitment and creativity you all bring to this discussion board and I would love to hear your thoughts about this idea. Do you know of any similar shows in your area? Do you have any suggestions about other funding sources? I realize a lot of things would have to fall into place to make this happen, but I am really going to give it a try.

Funding- could possibly come from donations from local businesses? I mean, local to where the person who disappeared was from. It sounds like a good idea; I hope you succeed.
