Default Remember the Fox Kids of the 90's!

I remember when fox first tried to create a line-up of cartoons for the afternoon. If I remember correctly, in 1988 it was Muppet Babies(sindicated), Alvin and the Chipmunks(sindicated), Super Mario Bros. Super Show and King Koopa's Cool Cartoons. Later adding shows like Merry Melodies, Animaniacs, Tiny Toon Adventures, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, God Awful-VR Troopers. It started going down hill on afternoons when they tried all those millions of incarnations of Power Rangers, Masked Rider, Stickin' Around(who thought that crap up), and Magic School Bus. Anyone remember any shows they tried on weekdays? X-men and Spiderman reruns were aired also for awhile on weekdays but at least those were more entertaining after their 10th run than those other shows. Saturdays had shows like before mentioned X-men, Spider-man, Power Rangers, and Casper. Went downhill when all of those we canned and shows like Digimon, Spiderman Unlimited, Power Rangers: "Lightspeed-Super-Strong-Better than last season's-Amazing-Time Traveling-exploring Cadet" episodes were reincarnated again. What other shows bite?

Hell yeah I remember those! Brings me back. Although some of those shows weren't FOX Kids!, just syndicated on a lot of FOX stations. I remember when Tiny Toon Adventures premiered the day after my 8th birthday, I was like, "cool!" I remember Tiny Toons, Merrie Melodies and Animaniacs being part of the afternoon FOX Kids! lineup. I also remember The Tom & Jerry Kids Show being part of it, at least I think it was part of FOX Kids! I also remember Bobby's World being on Saturday mornings. Power Rangers was a popular show when I was in 5th grade. I remember some kids in school talking about that show. I never really watched it nor did I bother to watch it. Wasn't Batman: The Animated Series also part of FOX Kids! when it premiered? I also remember before a FOX Kids! show came on there was a little jungle, "Everybody knows it's on FOX! It's on FOX!" Remember that one?

Angry Re: Remember the Fox Kids of the 90's!

Some of the things I remember from early '90's Fox Kids were the music video-style public service announcements. Two of them I've actually been trying to find on CD or cassette. 1)"It's All the Same," by Uma, and 2)"Then There was Me(which I later learned was subtitled "The Ballad of Gordon"), by Barenaked Ladies. I've checked on music sites of all kinds but no such luck.

Smile Did somebody say revive?

hey, I definetly remember minute by minute of my 1990's childhood. Before I got my KS hottie, I used to watch Mighty Morphin power Rangers with Kimberly. OHHHHHHHHHHH YEAH! SHe waz very hott. My sister and I loved Super Mario Bors. Especally because I have lots of italian blood in me!=) Then, came MY Little Pony, and Muppet Babies. hey, why don't we round members of this board and get FOX to revive the old days again. Luckilly, The Cosby SHow is still all the talk! hey, FOX will go old fashioned before you know it. I still can't get over Kimberly from Power and Britney Spears. When they got their start, they both looked alike. I also remember watching I Love Lucy and The Cosby show and a few FOx toons around noon to 3 in the afternoon.

Maybe I am abit different from all you all...

I remember, and well rather miss some other unnamed Fox Kids shows yet...

I miss Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiago... it DOES come on Fox Net, but ever sense I went to Direct TV, that channel is gone...so...

I also remember and enjoyed "Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes" As is these are and were early 90's to even pre 90's anime, but...well I enjoyed those two alot, sad to see that we cannot find them hardly now...

Talking general

Hey Lara!
I loved your last post a lot! One reason is because you gave me another idea for a FOX revival and reanactment idea. I remember Attack of The Killer Tomatoes very much. By the way, are you the Lara Jill Miller from Gimme A Break or are is that just your user name. That would be cool if you were the real Lara Jill Miller because I also enjoyed 1980's sitcoms.

Yeah, the old power rangers show was great and so was VR Troopers. I didn't like the Super Human Samauri (whatever the rest) squad, however. And, those NIntendo toons were great!

But, personally, I do like Pokemon and it has resumed for another season on KIDS WB, which will also be airing their shows on FOX Kids now. (To replace the sagging and sometimes not locally-aired FOX Kids lineup)

I loved Fox Kids back in the 90's it was great. Power Rangers was the best and I agree that when Zordon died it should have ended. These new ones are junk. Bobbys World and Life with Louie were the best cartoons ever!!!

Agreed. That would have been a GREAT end-all, but they just HAD to keep it going, didn't they...

I agree, in the words of some of these, PITIFUL girl stars that CANNOT do ANYTHING right, "Like totally!" Well guess what, I am gonna start a petition to bring back FOX Kids and I, along with thousands of other sitcomsonline.com memebers will make sure that they do a decent job.

I used to get the FOX Kid's Club Magazine between 1990 and 1999.

It was WOIO (Before it got changed to CBS) between 1990 and 1994 and WBNX (Before it became CW) between 1994 and 1999.

I need to tell the guys at Big Cartoon Database about it sometime.
