Does anyone think this guy will ever be caught? It's been a long time since anyone has heard from him. I think he's probably dead somewhere.
For those who might not know who I'm talking about, Richard was a 24-year-old pharmacy student who is accused of murdering his Yugoslavian ex-girlfriend who was a doctor, Tanya Kopric, after she refused to help him because he was flunking out of school. |

Bockledge much like another UM fugitive Randall Utterback strikes me as someone who would be able to assimilate back into society without much trouble. These are the type of people that unless they are put in situations where their wrath is provoked aren't going to draw much attention to themselves and are probably able to conduct their life in a fashion which would not make them appear conspicuous. On the flipside given where Bockledge abandoned his car and the fact that there hasn't been any reported sightings of him (that I'm aware of anyhow) since that time, it's possible that he traipsed off into the Canadian wilderness and took his own life, his remains likely never to be located or identified. |

I've always felt the same way about Dub Wackerhagen, which is why I'm inclined to believe he's dead. If his violent temper got so out of control that he wound up murdering his girlfriend, it's amazing that he could stay hidden for 17 years without getting into trouble again. |

I always felt that he was in pharmacy school so he could score prescription drugs. I doubt if he committed suicide because it didn't appear that he felt his actions weren't justified. He wouldn't take responsibility for anything, and I think suicide implies some blame on his part. JMO.
