Default So Mrs. Naugatuck being a DRUNK was supposed to be funny??

I'm looking at this old drunken ugly housekeeper that was added in season 4 and tyring to figure out the purpose of her addition?

Stumbling around looking crazy and viewers were supposed to LAUGH OUT LOUD?

Well as far as the "ugly" slap, again, I think it's easy to sit behind a computer and hurl out insults about how someone looks while safely invisible. No offense, just sayin', not too gentlemanly, Dude.

And for the "drunk" thing, yeah, I guess that was the "hook" with her, but it was no different that Otis on TAGS, Woody on Sanford and Son, or many other characters in the none too PC 60's and 70's.

Woody was an occassional character so it was fine, NagaDrunbk was a main character

I can't imagine her being much of a housekeeper! But I thought she was hilarious. She was my favorite of the three. ( Florida, Mrs. N., Mrs. Butterfield)

I never understood her, when she was on the cover of TV guide they didn't even spell her name correctly. But back then being drunk was funny, remember Otis on the AGS or comedian foster brooks, who did his whole stand-up routine acting drunk.I don't know where they even found her, the only thing she did of some importance was she was in mary Poppins and that was a good ten years before.
