This was all the info I could find, I'm not certain if this is the only station airing it or if it's national.

Chiz! I don't get that channel on my tv, but I get the Hallmark Channel, I wonder if they're doing the same thing. They show ILL on there a lot. Well, I don't generally sleep unless I have a reason too, so I end up watching it at like 4am and then I don't watch much more tv after 6am, so it may not be on there all the time, just when I watch it.

I don't get Me-TV...but I get Hallmark Channel.

I hope they have a marathon.

MrCleveland, WOIO carries MeTV now, in case you hadn't seen.
Hallmark Channel will be doing a marathon this weekend starting at 6am Saturday.

I recently wrote an article about the marathon: http://www.associatedcontent.com/art...day.html?cat=2

The Chicago region for Me-TV is carrying the Me birthday marathon too -- I think it's a national event, and the advertising claims it will be available on "most" Me channels.

Yeah, only if I Love Lucy is airing on another local channel will it not be shown (like in LA, where KDOC will just be airing The Lucy Show) is my understanding

I'm glad to see that Hallmark will do a marathon to honor Lucy as well. I never even heard of Me TV and because I have DirecTV I guess I will never get that station.

The Me-TV 100 episode marathon will be carried nationally across all US Me-TV stations. If you have Me-TV in your area, you can watch Lucy all weekend!

Full details here:

Me-TV Lucy's 100th Birthday Marathon

In Canada, the only channel that carries any of Lucille Ball's series is called TAC - The Accessible Channel. This is a station where every program that is aired, which include "I Love Lucy" and "Perry Mason" , is shown in a Descriptive Video format making it accessible to those who are visually and hearing impaired. Everyone else can enjoy the shows too but the format does take getting used to. Saturday afternoon, August 6, TAC will offer their own marathon tribute to Lucy's 100th birthday with special episodes of "I Love Lucy", running all afternoon and evening starting at 12 noon. The classic episodes will include "Job Switching", "Lucy Goes To The Hospital", "Lucy Does a TV Commercial", plus most of the Hollywood episodes and many of the Season 1 episodes. The full schedule is here:

TAC TV Canada --- "I Love Lucy" marathon schedule

Enjoy the weekend everyone, wherever you are. If you miss this tribute for any reason, you've got some serious 'splainin' to do!

I found it interesting that immediately following their airing of the final John Wayne episode of I Love Lucy last night, the JW episode of The Lucy Show was shown.

The only thing that's bugged me has been the showing of early episodes of The Lucy Show with the later kaleidoscope opening in place (in black & white, obviously) -- I would really prefer to see the old-style opening with the animated Lucy and Viv characters throughout.

Default Lucy Episode "Ricky Loses His Voice" on MeTV

Did anyone see the I Love Lucy episode "Ricky Loses His Voice" on MeTV on Sunday, August 7, at 9:30 p.m. EDT? This is one of my favorite episodes and I have missed it the last three times it has aired on MeTV, including tonight. I think it is supposed to air again on August 23.

I have been wanting to see this episode on MeTV to see if it has the "first take" of Fred and Ethel's performance of "Carolina in the Morning." This was the rehearsal performance, not the performance they did during the actual show. There were actually two performances by them of this, one being the rehearsal and the other the actual show. Both performances are included on the DVD but most TV networks like Hallmark and TV Land cut the rehearsal performance for syndication. MeTV tends to have less editing for commercials than those other channels, and I have been curious to see if MeTV airs the rehearsal performance as it would give me an idea of how edited their syndication package is for commercials.

They also showed the Danny Thomas episodes of The Lucy Show and The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour (syndicated as We Love Lucy) next to each other, which was nice.

I kind of like seeing both openings. They did show some episodes of The Lucy Show tonight with the animated Lucy and Viv. But I think the kaleidoscope opening is very beautiful, so I enjoy seeing it. TV Land used to show I Love Lucy with the original opening with the matchstick figures of Desi and Lucy, substituting the TV Land logo for the sponsor's logo (back when TV Land actually cared about classic TV), but I still enjoy the "heart on satin" opening that was used during network daytime rebroadcasts and syndication because I grew up with that, and I think it looks nicer, even if it's not the original. It's rare that I like anything but the original, so this is an exception for me.

I do wish MeTV had been able to show The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour in its original hour-long format the way TV Land did (again, back when TV Land actually cared about classic TV), instead of the pairs of 30-minute We Love Lucy episodes that were used for syndication.

I'm jealous to those of you who could watch the ME-TV marathon. I had the Hallmark marathon, which was nice, but ... when Hallmark does a weekend marathon of ILL, why is it only the Hollywood and/or Europe shows? Everytime there is a marathon on that network those are the episodes that are shown. Oh well ... the TCM marathon was great, though!

I watched The Big Street, Stage Door, part of Miss Grant Takes Richmond, part of Best Foot Forward, and part of Dance, Girl, Dance.

Actually, KVOS 12 Bellingham carried the marathon, which is in effect a Vancouver based TV channel. KVOS is now a full time ME TV affiliate.
