Default Samantha as a mother

Was Samatha a good mother to Tabitha? She would oftentimes scold her for doing magic, and I thought that Tabitha was often handed off to family members, or left alone.

Samantha was very firm, and I remember one episode in season 6 where Tabitha created her own mother that would only spend time with her, and Samatha threatened to spank Tabitha for lying to her. However, that episode had a very sweet ending where Tabitha was given her mother's love and attention.

Any other sweet Tabitha/Samantha moments? What about Samantha's threats to Tabitha?

Sam was a DAMN good mother.

Samantha knew the risks of doing witchcraft, and stopped Tabitha from getting too out of control. Tabitha needed to be warned or corrected about using her magic. If you saw "Nobody's Perfect", she explains it to Tabitha.

She loved Tabitha enough to protect her and to guide her in the right direction- even though Sam did not keep her word at times (but only when absolutely necessary). She was like "I've been where you are, and I don't want to see you end up the same way". That makes a good mother to me.

Samantha was a great mom, Tabitha was could sometime be a little stuborn. When Tabitha wished for her own Mommie she didn't have to share, it was because Sam was tending to baby Adam. Tabitha was only left with a babysitter when Sam had to handle some sort of emergency.

Samantha and Darrin were terrific parents. Also, for all their arguments, I don't think even Darrin would disagree that Endora was a wonderful "Grandmama". Well, except for Endora encouraging Tabitha to use her magic, but hey...

And spanking was VERY commun back in those days, so I don't think it makes her a bad mom b/c she threatened to spank.

Unlike now days where it's looked at as abuse, yet kids can hit YOU and its OK.

I agree that Samantha was an amazing mother! I just was wondering what other people thought, because I noticed that Tabitha seemed to be alone alot.

Does anyone have any episode instances with sweet scenes between Tabitha and Samantha or occurances where Samantha disciplined Tabitha?

Try the episode when Tabitha made her "Very Own Special Mommy".
