....Quaker Oats and Colgate-Palmolive were the alternate sponsors {Quaker had previously sponsored "F TROOP" on ABC's Thursday night schedule at 8pm(et) in the 1966-'67 season; when that series was cancelled, they "kept" the time period and co-sponsored 'THE FLYING NUN"}. Bristol-Myers was also another "participating sponsor" that season. In season two, Quaker dropped out [they also dropped out of their alternating sponsorship of the show that followed, "BEWITCHED", after four seasons], and Eastman Kodak and Oscar Meyer & Co. became the new co-sponsors [and also co-sponsored "BEWITCHED", a bit later] with Colgate. The third season might have featured "participating sponsorship" (various advertisers buying one minute spots during each episode).
