Default Does anyone trade .avi/mkv files?

I'm starting to collect .avi/.mkv files for tv shows cause I have a media server that is hooked up to my tv so much easier then dvds. I was wondering if anyone else has some? I'm just testing the waters here I can have a list made up pretty shortly if need be

Fuzzy, congratulations you have just opened a door for yourself that you will find very fruitful. The next step is to educate yourself about torrents. Forget about trading avi files on this forum. Most of the traders here are stuck in the past - dvd's, video tapes, thats all they know. From now on all your trading can be done over the internet.

Go to the website Demonoid or Fenopy (google them). There are many torrent websites to choose from but these two are my favorite. Browse their torrents, you will be astonished at what is available to trade. Literally millions of old tv shows, new tv shows, cartoons, old movies etc. Most video torrents are in .avi format.

You will also need to install a free program called Utorrent on your computer (google it). This is the program that will download your torrents for you. Once your files have been downloaded then just simply transfer them to your media player.

If your already familiar with torrents then I apologize - if not, or if you need some help just let me know.

Actually I have Comcast as well. The 250gb restriction has never been a problem for me and I download lots of videos every month. You have to remember that avi files are small compared to standard DVD formats. 250gb is equal to about 400 avi movies or a couple thousand half hour tv episodes. It would be very hard to even approach the restriction.
