Wow! We have the announcement and early picture art for season 3 before the release of season 2!! That's the way I like it with shows I'm anxious to complete!

For the first time I actually believe we will see the fourth season released, it is amazing that before season 2 is even available, season 3 is announced and all for normal retail sale, even though good luck finding them....lol.....

I sincerely believe season 4 (The Gale Gordon Year) will be available as part of their shout exclusive program only, but that is better than having it start as a exclusive by season 2 or 3 as most thought.

Great News....I love seeing the show on Antenna TV and maybe those airings are helping sales, after all Dennis is airing in most of the country including New York every weekday.

For a series considered to be successful enough for normal retail according to Shout Factory, it must sell well over 100,000 units each!

Well, seasons 2 & 3 have street dates! The only thing that can go wrong with this show, is a major delay with season 4. Wheather its a Shout! exclusive or a regular retail item, I hope we see it in 2012, and DTM is completed. By the way, Gale Gordon's Mr. Wilson is introduced toward the end of season 3.

Thanks, I know....but I refer to season 4 as "The Gale Gordon Year" because that is when the opening was officially changed, Jay North Sprung up in height and it was the only season of 4 that didn't include a Christmas episode. The series seriously changed direction that year.

I plan to buy the first three seasons DVD, but not season 4. For all intents and purposes, the series was over after Joseph Kearns passed away. Dennis The Menace isn't as good a show as Leave It To Beaver, but for the most part the episodes with Joseph Kearns are fairly entertaining. I've always thought the Dennis comics are funnier than the TV show.

With Leave It To Beaver, there is usually a moral to the story, a life lesson is learned. The writing for this show was excellent. With Dennis The Menace, there is seldom a moral to the story, seldom does Dennis get scolded or is corrected or taught to learn from his mistakes. Basically, the attitude is "it's just Dennis being Dennis, boys will be boys". That is the main difference between the two shows. Cartoonist Hank Ketcham created the character of Dennis The Menace. Dennis is a good natured kid, but with a mischievious streak and penchant for getting in trouble due to his insatiable curiosity.

I pre-ordered season 3 on Oct. 11th and got it in the mail yesterday!

In case you didn't know, there are no special features on this set, and the last Joseph Kearns episode is the last episode of disc 4. Disc 5 is all the Gale Gordon episodes. So if you don't like Gale Gordon, ignore disc 5.

Wow! You got it already!!! That's amazing, 3 days before the official release date!

It's sad Joseph Kearns passed away during the series run. But I still am anxious to see the Gale Gordon/Mr. Wilson episodes, just for comparision.

I liked Gale Gordon on the show. I mean, Joseph Kearns was the best, but Gale did a pretty good job considering the circumstances. The best thing the producers did was have him play George's brother and not the same Mr. Wilson. That would have been terrible. I just really feel bad for Sylvia Field.

I got the first two seasons of Dennis the Menace at Walmart, when they were released. I went there to get Season 3 today. I didn't find it.

Mine should be here tomorrow (Oct 28th). Shame that they couldn't have found a least a few original credits and commercials to put on the DVD. Hopefully, they can work out a deal with Stu Shostak to put his interview he did with Gloria, Jeannie, and Jay a few months back.

My DVD came today from Amazon! Perfect timing too, because I'm just about done with Season 2.

That's what I'm hoping for!!!! I hope there is both an audio and video interview like the one's done for season 1. Since they finally got Jay for an interview, plus brought back Gloria and Jeannie, I'm thinking they must have done this with the idea of putting it on the season 4 release!!!!
