Question on Sam's relatives - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

We know that Uncle Arthur was Endora's brother and therefore, Samantha's uncle. However, I don't think I ever heard that Aunt Clara was Endora's sister. So I am assuming that Clara was Endora's aunt and Samantha's great-aunt. Am I correct in this?

Also, for Serena to be Samantha's cousin, Serena would have to be the daughter of either Uncle Arthur, which I've never heard mentioned, or the daughter of Endora's sister, whom I've never heard mentioned or the daughter of one of Maurice's siblings.

I guess nobody knows the answer to this question because none of you have replied.....So I must assume my thinking is correct.

They were a bit ambiguous about the family relations and exactly how everyone was related to whom. I'd wondered the same thing myself.

Sam's family tree was never thouroughly explained on the show. I think Aunt Clara was on Endora's side of the family (but that is uncofirmed). Also I read that Serena was from Maurice's side of the family, but they never mentioned whom her parents were. Then again Serena could be from Endoras side because she always called Endora "Auntie Endora", so who knows.
