Default I met a girl on-line!!!

that's the good news; the bad news is that she's in New York & I'm in pennsylvania.
Also, she's 20 years younger than me, but I don't care about that. But at least I know what she looks like-and she's PRETTY.

That's cool Treky. A couple of my ex girlfriends I met online too. Fortunately for me, they all lived in Oregon. Hopefully she'll be willing to fly to your neck of the woods, or for you to go visit her. I really hope things work out for you.

Over the years I have met with no less than 10 different women from all over the country that I initally met online (chatrooms, forums, etc.) They all were extrememly attractive (or I probably would not have shown up to meet them in person) but after the first few months of dating, the inital excitement died out slowly. We found ourselves searching for new people to meet and be with, so I wouldn't reccommend online dating as a way to develope a lasting relationship. It's more for those adults who like to fool around for 3 - 8 months before it's time to search for a new challenge.

That's not true for everyone, I know a few people who have long successful relationships after meeting online.

I know a couple people who met on E Harmony who actually got married. Most of the girlfriends I had online, started off as a relationship, but now they're all just really close friends. Iv'e been practicing abstinance for the last four years, and I have no desire to be in a relationship, or to have booty calls. I like being single. Relationships are just too stressful for me. I have a difficult time living up to the standards that you need to live up to in a relationship.

The reasons you give for NOT being in a committed relationship, though substantial, doesn't really stop anyone from falling in love, particularly with someone who falls in love with them 1st. Half the relationships that exist would be no more if stress were the deal breaker. Committed relationships cause stress, get used to it. Most do.

Fantastic. Three people I know, a relative, a friend from military days, and a co-worker's son: all met someone online, and all three have ended up in lasting, committed relationships. Also, Pennsyvania and New York? C'mon, that's not that far. Couldn't be any farther than, like San Diego and Sacramento, and they're in the same state! I wish you well!

Honestly, I don't really give a damn about what most people do. I'm not most people, I'm me. And I don't try to live my life trying to impress most people. I'm at the best place in my life right now then Iv'e been in years. Ain't no way I'm going to jeopardize that.
