I know a little Italian and some Spanish, but not enough to carry on a conversation. I'd like to learn both of those languages a lot better.

I know a little sign language. I can sign the alphabet.
Since braille is in English, that probably doesn't count right? |

Not me, I only speak English. It would be cool to learn a new language though. It's something I might look into. I want to learn German, since I'm half German. It would also be nice to speak a little Spanish. Maybe then I could understand what the heck all these mexicans in my neighborhood are saying to me when I walk up to shell. Actually, I'm probably better off not knowing. lol I always understand them when they call me a gringo though. lol

Sign language is my primary language (know both SEE/ASL). Fluent in English (obviously). Some German and Spanish, but not enough at all to carry on a conversation. Lol. Reading is the best I can do.

WORD HISTORY In Latin America the word gringo is an offensive term for a foreigner, particularly an American or English person. But the word existed in Spanish before this particular sense came into being. In fact, gringo may be an alteration of the word griego, the Spanish development of Latin Graecus, "Greek." Griego first meant "Greek, Grecian," as an adjective and "Greek, Greek language," as a noun. The saying "It's Greek to me" exists in Spanish, as it does in English, and helps us understand why griego came to mean "unintelligible language" and perhaps, by further extension of this idea, "stranger, that is, one who speaks a foreign language." The altered form gringo lost touch with Greek but has the senses "unintelligible language," "foreigner, especially an English person," and in Latin America, "North American or Britisher." Its first recorded English use (1849) is in John Woodhouse Audubon's Western Journal: "We were hooted and shouted at as we passed through, and called 'Gringoes. Interesting, I used to like the spanish language, however ever since the country has been infested by wetbacks and other types of illegals the language disgusts me.And pressing 1 for spanish and 2 for english whenever you call a company adds insult to injury.

And Brad those people that call you a gringo are obviously illegal aliens.glad my state Nebraska do not have many of those vermin and parasites that even Mexico does not want. Unfortunately there are a few Haitians here now and legal or not they do not belong.even regular blacks here detest them.
