I emailed Antenna TV asking when will the Jeffersons be on the schedule and I was - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

told that TV Land currently has the rights to the show and they can't air it right now. What pisses me off is that it's not like TV Land is treating the show good. I think it airs once a day in the morning.

Why hold on to the show if it' be USED?

I wish The Jeffersons would come to Antenna TV too. This doesn't make sense. Sanford and Son and Good Times are on Antenna TV and they both air on TV Land and TV One, and The Jeffersons airs on TV Land and TV One as well. I don't know why Antenna TV can't get the rights to The Jeffersons if they can get the rights to Sanford and Son and Good Times that air on the same channel. However, The Jeffersons gets better treatment on TV One, but not as many people have TV One. I just hope to see it on Antenna TV one day soon.

Antenna TV is broadcast, so it doesn't matter if TV Land or any other cable network has it or not. It's probably something else causing them not to obtain The Jeffersons.

That's too bad that they can't show it, but it's awesome that they responded .Most stations don't seem to care what viewers think!

The Jeffersons will always be on since it's timeless.

It's also one of the very few mostly black sitcoms that had more white viewers than black. Let's face it. Most networks are run by whites.

well if that's true then why isn't it on TV Land as much as Good Times and sanford and son?

Because TV Land is nuts. They don't show Family Ties, Diff'rent Strokes, and Too Close for Comfort AT ALL but they should!
