This played again yesterday. Anyone else find it interesting? A man shopping for antiques, buys this Bible that was apparently owned by a Charles and Fannie Lazarus of Cincinati Ohio. He has been trying to find the relatives for it and still no update (unless the Lifetime ones aren't updated)

I remember the segment, the guy who bought the Bible needed some kind of quote out of it for something he was writing and wanted to do the exact quote, and he found some indications it was a family Bible from long ago and wanted to return it to the rightful owners.
Far as I know there was never an update. |

Yep, just watched it again....can't believe no one claimed it. It's silly, but I wanted this case solved. I love finding treasures from both sides of my families.

No info on the UM wiki either: http://unsolvedmysteries.wikia.com/w...harles_Lazarus
It seems that in this age of instant communication, facebook, ancestry dot com, etc, that the owners could be tracked down. I wonder if they were found but no one told the public... ETA: I don't have an ancestry account, but did a google search and found this post on Ancestry from 2006: http://boards.ancestry.com/surnames..../109.2/mb.ashx Which says in part: For starters, some of the family changed the last name to Lazar. These family members were into opera and theatre. They started out in NYC and ended up in LA. Sadly, I cannot find any children younger than Helen May MICH(A)ELSON LIGHT. She was born 02 May 1895 in Denver and died 26 Mar 1974 in LA. Apparantly she and her husband Philip Light had no children. I will post what I have found on the various boards in hopes that maybe someone will find this post. |
