Charlie Sheen's "Two and a Half Men" Character Will Be Killed Off
by Chris Harnick posted Jun 27th 2011 Just how will Charlie Sheen's "Two and a Half Men" character exit the hit CBS sitcom? According to TMZ, he's kicking the bucket. The script has yet to be finalized, but sources have told TMZ Sheen's Charlie Harper will be written off in a way preventing the actor from ever returning to the series. One situation involves the character driving his car off a cliff. While filming won't being until August, the current plan is to have Ashton Kutcher's character buy Charlie Harper's home. http://www.aoltv.com/2011/06/27/char...racter-killed/ |

Report: "Two and a Half Men" to Kill Charlie Sheen's Character
Aug 2, 2011 by Kate Stanhope Slamming the door on any possible return from Charlie Sheen, the ninth season premiere of "Two and a Half Men" will feature the funeral of Sheen's on-screen persona, Charlie Harper, Deadline reports. The episode, which will tape in front of a live studio audience on Friday, will show all of Charlie's ex-girlfriends in attendance at the service. After his death, Charlie's Malibu digs will be put on the market, and interested buyers coming to see the house will include celebrities, stars from creator Chuck Lorre's other sitcoms ("The Big Bang Theory" and "Mike & Molly"), and new series star Ashton Kutcher. The report of Sheen's on-screen death follows months of speculation about just how the fired star would be written out of the show, and how Kutcher would be written in. Sheen was fired in March by production studio Warner Bros. TV after months of growing tension between Sheen and Lorre. Kutcher was brought on board the hit show in May. The ninth season of "Two and a Half Men" premieres on Monday, Sept. 19 at 9/8c on CBS. http://www.tvguide.com/News/Two-Half...d-1035962.aspx |

Well, this is CBS's way of saying "you're dead to us". Too bad. Charlie only has hisself to blame for this. I wonder how his new show will do in the ratings.

Wow, that seems kind of an abrupt way to get rid of a character-especially on a sitcom. I could see if this were a drama like Law and Order but it will certainly dampen the mood. Not defending Charlie Sheen at all, but there are so many other ways they could write his exit.
