Default Sitcoms to Movies

Let me try this again. I started a thread called 'Hollywood Disasters' asking members if they could think of any TV shows that were made into a good movies.

Even though I loved some of the answers I made a mistake and wasn't specific enough (my fault) . I really meant any sitcoms.

So let's ask the question again;
Can anyone think of a movie that was a re-make of a tv sitcom that wasn't a total disaster.

Wouldn't it be much simpler to edit your original thread title and explain with a follow-up post? You have 15 replies and most of these types of threads allow for the inclusion of dramas along with sitcoms but it's usually left up to the thread starter.

Cool

The only movie based on a sitcom that I've ever liked is "The Brady Bunch Movie".

Yeah that one was pretty good! The best part was when Davy Jones was at the prom!

The Honeymooners (movie) was horrible and why change the race of the characters ???

If it was the other way around all hell would break loose.

The Simpsons Movie was pretty good.

And South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut was very good.

I know these are animated, but technically they are sitcoms, right?

These wouldn't count here since they are not movie remakes.

I personally liked 'The Beverly Hillbillies' movie and 'The Brady Bunch Movie'.
I didn't care for 'Bewitched'.

I'm actually anxious to see Bewitched only because Nora Ephron directed it.

I liked this one too. I know they aren't sitcoms, but the Charlie's Angels movie (the first one) and the Fugitive were pretty good too.

Regarding Bewitched movie, Nicole Kidman was a good choice but the movie itself was bad.

I loved the Brady Bunch movie as well as the Beverly Hillbillies and Get Smart.

Well about Charlie's Angel? I did like the remake which starred Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and this Chinese girl ms Liu.
