Books about game shows - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

How many books about individual game shows have been written? I have a couple on Jeopardy and one on Hollywood Squares. I had a book on Concentration, but not anymore.

There is a book titled "Come On Down!: Behind the Big Doors at "The Price Is Right".

It's a piece of fluff. It denies the existence of the original TPIR models, and acts like Barker is a nice man, when clearly, it's worth noting, he's not.

The book mentions some past helpers (models) and I don't remember the book denying the existence of any original helpers, including Janice Pennington, who is mentioned along with Kathleen Bradley, who came to the show years after her. The book may not be deep in history, but it provides details you cannot find anywhere else, since it was written by an employee of the show.

I believe you were referring to Bob Barker, too. If so, where do you get the idea that he is not a nice man? You cannot base this idea solely on negative stories or public words by his enemies.

In case you are thinking Bob Barker fired some of his helpers from the show just because he was the executive producer, don't believe everything you read. The owners of the show had greater power than he.
