My City. Your City ?

there is a small area of my city next to the landmark and the stadium that they keep very clean. It is so well lit at night, that night time looks like daytime. There is a noticeable police presence at all time. They spend
a lot of money (money that they don't have) making this small area
look attractive. This is the area that visiting dignitaries and out of state
news teams are brought to when coming to my city. There is another
area of my city,also close to the landmark and stadium that most
people never see. This area is not very clean, it has weeds 10 feet
tall growing thru the sidewalks, trash all around, and if you peek
thru the weeds you can see houses. This area is not very well lit
at night, about the only light comes from the flashing lights of a
police car or the glow of a house engulfed in flames. No money is
spent on that area, and when my city gets national attention, such
as monday night football, that panoramic camera they use to show
the outskirts of the stadium bypasses this part of town. The mayor
of my city is a nervous looking weasel,the only time I see him is
when he is on tv during elections, dedicating something stupid and
pointless or running from a reporter who wants to ask him about
missing funds.
