No I don't think so. Danny was really annoying and kind of a jerk so I think Doug's attitude was understandable. Gary Valentine is Kevin James' real life brother so I'm sure it must've been really fun for them to play scenes like that together. They both changed their names so that's why they're last names are different. Their real family last name is Knipfing, but I don't really know how it's supposed to be pronounced.

Thanks for those interesting facts. I don't find Danny to be all that annoying. Maybe he's a bit of a lost soul but Doug isn't Mr. Perfect either. They do seem to get along in the show, in a love/hate way.

I couldn't stand the way Doug treated Danny. Danny wasn't such a bad guy, he just wanted Doug to like him. There was that episode where Doug didn't even want Danny to get a job at IPS. In reality, I would anything I could to help any of my cousins get a job, even if it was at the same place. I would be thrilled if one of my cousins worked with me!!!

Yeah, Doug seems to be very hurtful to Danny anytime the two of them are in the same room, and it doesn't make any sense because Danny doesn't seem to be a bother. Even if he was, Doug should treat him far better than he does. I'm guessing the writers did this as a means of adding more humor, but, yikes, Doug doesn't help his reputation whatsoever in the way he treats Danny!

I thought Danny deserved to be treated a lot better by Doug. I enjoyed Danny and thought he was funny.

Doug had his nose in the air a lot with Spence and Danny like he was so much better than they were.

He was jealous of their friendship, he dreamed of being that close to Deacon.

I like how in one episode I don't remember the circumstance, maybe when Doug and Deacon posed as a couple to buy the TV for the Superbowl? But Deacon said he could do better than Doug.
