hehe, heya, guys! Any peeps still remember my Reunion Series? LOL, Max, my number one fan, sure did...hehe
And he gave me a GREAT idea, so the main storyline for this fic is his idea, so, just wanted to give him his credit there...welp, on with the fic! heheNatalie woke up and yawned, stretching her arms so they accidentally hit her husband gently. "Oh, sorry," she said, apologetically. "It's okay, I'm awake anyway," he said, grinning at her. "Welp, gotta get up I guess," he said, without moving. "Yeah," Nat agreed, also without moving. "Yup, gotta get around to that...work and everything..." he said, his voice trailing off. "One of these days," Nat said, also trailing off. "Uh, huh," he agreed. They both looked at each other and said, "Naaaaaaah," and put their heads back on their pillows for an extra few minutes of rest. Tootie's eyes flew open and she looked at the clock. "Eight o'clock?!?! EIGHT O'CLOCK!?!?!?!" she screamed. "I'm late!" she yelped, leaping from her bed and grabbing the clothes she'd picked out the night before. She rushed into the bathroom as her husband, who was eating breakfast in the kitchen, and who also had heard her screams loud and clear, began singing to himself, "I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date, no time to say hello goodbye, I'm late! I'm late! I'm late!" A movement on Blair's lap jolted her and woke her up. She looked down at her daughter, Angel, who she had been feeding, was squirming and trying to get free from the thick blanket over her. "Here, sweetie," Blair said, quietly, loosening the blanket around her tiny body, and sitting back up in the chair. "Better?" she asked. Angel stopped squirming and smiled. "There," Blair said, happy that her daughter was peaceful again. Blair put her back in her crib, and headed out to the kitchen, where she'd figured her husband, Robert, was eating breakfast. Reaching the empty kitchen she sighed and found a note form him. This was getting too common. Robert had been getting extremely wrapped up in his work lately, and she felt she rarely saw him anymore. She picked up the note, read the same phrases and "Love you," at the end, and sighed, once more. She went back to her daughter's room to console herself. At least she still had Angel to talk to, even though their conversations were a little one-sided... Rick looked down, over the edge of his son's crib and smiled at the sleeping baby. How happy he'd been when his wife, Jo, had agreed to have another child. Just then a faint knock was heard on the door of the room. "Come in," he whispered, so he wouldn't wake the sleeping baby. Jamie, his seven-year old daughter, came tip-toeing in. She reached her arms up for her father to pick her up so she could see her baby brother. Rick lifted her up, resting her on his hip, and the two peeked down at their recent family member, eleven month old Teddy Bonner. "What is it, honey?" Rick asked his daughter. "Mom wants you." "Oh, okay. Thank you," he said, putting her down. Rick walked out of Teddy's room, while Jamie stayed and occupied herself with some of Teddy's toys. Rick reached where Jo was, in the living room, and sat down next to her on the couch. "We make beautiful babies, Jo, that's for sure," he said, smiling, putting an arm across her shoulders. She smiled back at him then looked down like she was in deep thought. "Something wrong?" he asked. "No, I was just thinking...I think it's time for me to go back to work at the Center." "You don't have to work, Jo, really you don't." "We need the money and-" "But, honey, Teddy's still young, he's not even a year old yet." "I called Matt and he said I could take him to work with me. It'd be even better, cause I'd be making money and be with him spending quality time and everything." "That's true," Rick said, cocking his head. "Good, glad you agree, cause I already told him I'd be at work tomorrow at eight sharp," she grinned. "You little stinker!" he laughed. He kissed her lips lightly then looked deep in her eyes and was about to kiss her again when Jamie came running in yelling, "Mommy!!! It STINKS!!!!!" "Huh?" Jo asked. Jamie held her nose and in a nasally voice said, "I think Teddy needs his dippee changed." hehe, it wil get more interesting, trust me...right, Max? LOL, more tomorrow!

hehe, glad y'all are liking it! Here's more! And y'all better thank Max for this, cause it's his idea...
![]() Tootie flew in the large studio and immediately quieted herself, as a tall, gorgeous woman was singing with the spotlight on her up on the stage. The studio was dark, and only three people sat in the middle of the tenth row back. The two men watched the singer and the woman sitting with them was writing down notes. Tootie looked over her competition. 'I have to get this role,' she kept telling herself. 'I have to...' Tootie sat down quietly in the nearest chair and watched the woman auditioning finish her song. Her voice was silky and her manner was intimidating. She didn't look nervous at all, more like she was performing a number for her family and friends at a Christmas gathering. Once the woman had exited the stage, and the three people had conferred for a few minutes, they looked over towards the woman who had come running in right in the middle of another auditioner's song. "Are you here to audition?" one of the men asked her. Tootie nodded her head, as she caught her breath. She had run from the gate where her I.D. had been checked to the studio and was out of breath. "Do you have an appointment?" the woman asked. Tootie shook her head again. "I'm so sorry, I'm a little late. My appointment was for 9:30 and it's almost 10." "Why were you late?" asked the third man, with a gruff, no-nonsense voice. "My alarm didn't work. Don't ya just hate it when that happens?" she said, trying to joke with them. None of them laughed. "Well, okay, we have time till the next appointment but make it quick. Give your music to Mike," he said, pointing the pianists off to the side, "then sing." Tootie obeyed orders and proceeded to sing the song she'd been working on for the last month. "Hey, Nat?" Bill asked his wife, as he sat, eating breakfast. "Huh?" she replied, as she poured some more coffee to her mug. "Where's the Life section?" he asked, fishing through the paper. "Oh, I threw that away all ready," Natalie said casually. "What?!" "I though you'd already read it!" "You know I always save the best for last!" "What?" "The comics!" Bill said, getting out of his chair and diving into the trash can. Natalie rolled her eyes and laughed. 'What a crazy guy,' she thought. "I have to read my comics!" Natalie laughed out loud at her husband's humor. "How can you be laughing at a time like this?! THE COMICS PAGE IS GONE!!!!" Tootie finished her song and retained her normal breathing after the stressful experience of auditioning. She looked at the people hopefully, wondering what their reactions would be. "Thank you. NEXT!" the gruff, older one called. Tootie's face fell. Why couldn't she be immune to this by now? It never happens like in the movies, where the producers and director love you so much they hire you on the spot and are bowled over with your talent. She just stood there, not knowing what to say or how to exit with dignity and not humiliation. She slowly made her way across the stage and got off the platform by the steps to the side. She received her music from the pianist and headed out, feeling ambiguity about her future in this production. Blair burped her baby, Angel, and debated with herself whether to call her husband. She wanted to talk to him, to hear him say, "Good morning," at the very least. She hated the way he'd become so attached to his work. It seemed like that was all he did. Even when he was physically home, his mind wasn't. She decidedly put Angel down in her crib and marched to the phone. She picked it up with determination and dialed his work number. "If you know the extension of the party you would like to reach, please-" Blair dialed in his extension. "Hello?" came a female voice. "Hello, this is Blair, is Robert there?" "No." Short and blunt. "May I ask where he is?" "He's in a meeting, may I take a message?" "Ummm...no, thank you. Bye," she hung up. Here she'd been all fired up and ready to go. She put the phone down. "Darn." Jo was sitting on the couch, her baby in her arms, as Rick came walking through. "Got an early shift today," he said. "Bye, honey, see you tonight," he said, on his way to the piano bar he played at. He bent down, picked his daughter up who was watching T.V. and kissed her cheek. "Bye, daddy!" Jamie said. "Bye, sweetheart!" he said to her, as she gave him a goodbye hug. He put her down and looked at his wife. "You gonna tell them about...you know what..." he asked, Jo, motioning to Jamie. "Oh, daddy, we already know all about sex," she blurted. "Oh, you do, huh?" Rick said, laughing. "Yes, Teddy and I discussed it all last night," Jamie said, happily, nodding her head. "You discussed it with Teddy?" Jo asked. "He's barely one, he can barely say, 'dada.' " Jamie stuck her nose in the air. "Well, so maybe it wasn't exactly a discussion, but I don't want him growing up in ignorance...like I was raised." She turned her nose away and played the part of a martyr. "Awwwww, you poor deprived child..." Rick said, in mock sympathy. Jo laughed. "Yeah, I'll tell them," she said, quietly to Rick. "Well, guess I'm off then, bye, hun," he said, kissing Jo's cheek quickly. "Welp, guess I'm off," Bill said to his wife Natalie, as he picked up his brief case. "Okay, bye, honey!" Nat called from their room where she was sitting at her computer beginning the first few pages of a short story she'd had in mind for a while now. "Aren't ya gonna gimme a little good bye kiss?" Bill asked, laughing. "Just a little one? On the cheek? I'm not asking for much..." "I can kiss you when you come home," Nat laughed. "I'm on a roll, I've had this idea for a while now and it's coming so fast, I gotta type it all in before I forget it all!" Bill shook his head and laughed. "Okay, but according to my calculations, you owe me about four kisses tonight." "I'll be glad to give them to you tonight, honey, bye!" Nat called. "Bye!" And with the shutting of a door Bill was gone. Four hours later, Natalie still sat at her computer, furiously typing away, writing on the rush of having a fresh idea and so many thoughts she felt she had to get down all at once. She was so focused she barely heard the phone ring in the other room. She reluctantly finished a sentence and wrote down several jots of ideas or phrases so she wouldn't forget them as she got up. She quickly picked up the phone and said, "Hello?" "Hi, is this a Natalie Green?" "Yes, who's this?" she asked, suspiciously, not recognizing the voice. "My name's Inspector Dickson, I'm with the Peekskill highway patrol, I'm afraid there's been somewhat of an accident." :-D More later! And for those of you worried about me abandoning a certain fanfic on another board *cough, hack-Broken Family-hack, cough* don't worry, Imma post post more right now... |

![]() Natalie ran to the hospital in her car, barely able to think or feel anything. One name kept resounding over and over in her mind. Snake. This had been the end of him, too. Every repressed memory came back to her about his death. The call, the scene of the accident, his dead body, the funeral, life without him. EVERYTHING came back, and she hated it. She had thought she was over it all, but another car accident of another man she loved brought it all back and even more painful than before. All the old wounds opened and she felt vulnerable again. She looked up at the sky as tears fell out of her eyes and she silently asked God, "Why do you do this to me? Why does every man I love get taken away from me?" She felt a still, small voice say in her, "He's not gone yet. He's not gone yet..." Blair jumped when the phone rang and hoped it was her husband calling to say what his big rush had been in the morning. "Hello?" she answered. "Blair? Hi, it's Nat." "Oh, hi, Natalie," Blair said, obviously disapointed. "Gee, Blair, thanks, you know if you don't wanna talk to me it's perfectly fine, I can call someone else." "Oh, Nat, I'm sorry, I was just sort of expecting Robert, I'm sorry, really, what is it? You don't sound okay." "Well, it's because I'm not..." Natalie said, holding back her tears. "Natalie, what's happened?" Blair asked, frightened, knowing something awful must have occurred. Tootie walked back into her house and was greeted by her cat. "Hi, sweetie," she said, sadly, bending down and petting her cat. "Guess who DIDN'T get a part today?" she said angrily, angry at herself mostly and her terrible audition. Her cat looked up at her seeming to understand with her big green eyes. "Oh, well, there's always another part, right?" Tootie picked up her cat and walked into her living room and turned on the T.V. and put on a comedy, to cheer herself up. Jo burped her baby boy as Jamie watched some T.V. "Jamie? Can I talk to you real quick?" "Sure, mom, what's up?" Jamie said, not turning around but still looking at the television. "Well, what do you think about me going back to work at the center?" "Sounds cool, have a great time," Jamie said, not taking her eyes off the T.V. 'Well, that was easy enough,' Jo thought to herself. "You realize that means you may have to come with me to work or go to day care." "That's all right. They have a TV at the center, right, mom?" "Yeah, there's one for the people and a small one at the desk..." "Good, it'll be a blast," Jamie said, still watching the television. Jo smiled, surprised but happy. She kissed Teddy who was asleep in her arms then leaned back in her couch and let herself rest before she would go back to work the next day. But barely had she closed her eyes when the phone rang. She handed Teddy to Jamie and got up and answered it. "Hello?" "Hi, Jo? It's Nat." "Hey, Nat, you okay?" she asked, immediately recognizing the difference in Natalie's voice. "Well, no, I'm not, Jo, but what's worse is...Bill isn't." And in saying those words, it made the tragedy all the more real, and Natalie broke down and wept on the phone to her friend, Jo. At the hospital, all of Natalie's close friends had been called, and they all sat in the waiting room, consoling their friend as they awaited news of her husband. "They said he was in a car crash and is in a coma. They'll come out and tell me more when they can," Nat explained to her best friend, Tootie Ramsey. "We're for ya, Nat," Tootie said, hugging her friend. "I know," the redhead smiled, but her lip couldn't stop quivering, and her leg couldn't stop shaking. In a moment of quiet remembrance, Natalie looked to the ground and whispered, "This was exactly what happened to Snake, you know." "Oh, Nat," Tootie said, feeling her friend's pain. "They called me to the hospital, said it was a car crash, and I waited 27 hours while he was in a come, then they walked out, with their sad faces and said, 'We lost him.' " Natalie brought a Kleenex to her face and covered her face as she wept even harder as she lived through Snake's death again. "That's not gonna happy, Nat, I know it," Blair said, quietly to her friend. "Bill is gonna be okay, and you two are gonna live happily ever after," she smiled. "Meanwhile, I sit at home with Angel while Robert works 24/7," Blair bitterly said. Natalie looked at her friend angrily. "At least he's alive! At least your husband is healthy and not lying in a hospital bed in a coma and you know he's coming home to you tonight, maybe a little late, but home nonetheless!" "Natalie-" Jo tried to calm her down. Natalie cried some more then reached out her hand to Blair's in a gesture of apology. Blair clasped her hand and put another hand on Natalie's shoulder in a gesture of forgiveness, and the two hugged. Jamie looked at her mom. "Momma, are they okay?" she asked, noticing the tension that had built. "Yes, honey, they're fine," Jo smiled. She prayed a small prayer of thanks that her husband was alive and healthy and safe. Holding her baby in her arms, she looked down the corridor where the doctors were doing everything in their humanly power to save Bill's life. Jo only hoped they could do it. As the clock in the hospital turned 7, two men rushed in looking for their wives. Rick and Jeff found their wives and sat next to them and were quickly updated on Bill's condition. It was now 7 hours since Bill had gone into a coma. Natalie was in the hospital room with him as he lay there, while the other girls stayed out in the waiting room. "Oh, Tootie, on my way here I swung by where they were gonna post the cast list for that play you auditioned for today. I'm sorry, baby, your name wasn't on it," Jeff said, sadly to his wife. "Oh, the audition, I'd forgotten all about it. Oh, well, it really doesn't matter. There are a few more important things in life." Tootie teared up, always the emotional one, as she hugged her husband and thanked God for his health and life. Rick sat down next to his wife and put his arm around her. "How's Nat holding up?" he asked her. "Not well," Jo sighed as Jamie crawled onto her father's lap. "It's even more painful, because of...well, Snake." "Oh, that's right." Rick looked down at his daughter who had fallen asleep on his lap, then glanced over at little Teddy, who was asleep in Jo's arms. "We should be thankful, Jo, we really should." "I know," Jo smiled, looking in his eyes. Rick swept her dark, thick hair off her shoulder and kissed her lightly on her cheek. How he loved her, how he needed her... Natalie sat in a small chair next to Bill. She held his hand and tried her best to be strong, to be prepared for the worst... Because she remember not being prepared when Snake died. It had been the furthest thing from her mind that he wouldn't make it, but that was the reality, Snake had left her. Natalie looked at Bill's large hand. He had always seemed to symbolize and characterize strength and health, and he was always in prime physical condition. Natalie opened her mouth to say something to the man lying on the bed who she'd come to love and marry and live with, but she somehow didn't know what to say. She'd always been honest with Bill, so she figured she might as well keep that up. "Bill, I...don't know what to say," she whispered, her voice shaking. "Isn't that funny? A writer, me, someone always ready with a quip and comeback just...doesn't know what to say." She paused and took a breath and several tears fell down her cheek. "Bill, I love you, I don't know what else to say to you, I hope you've always known that, you should, I only told you five times a day..." she laughed. She then looked at his face. It was hardy damaged at all, except for a bandage around his forehead that was swelling and had caused the coma. Other than that, he only had a broken rib and torn ligaments, which were painful, but he could have been hurt a lot worse. But still, the hit he'd taken on his head had been a bad one, and all anyone at that point could do was wait. A doctor walked in casually and asked Natalie if he was any better, worse, or if there'd been any change. She shook her head silently and he checked all the machines hooked up to Bill and read their stats. Natalie noticed the doctor's face look confused. A panic ran through her and she asked "What is it?" hehe...more tomorrow!
