Default Favorite Daphne episodes/scenes

What are your favorite Daphne episodes and or scenes from the show? I have several. I just loved her!

In the pilot The Good Son when we are first introduced to Daphne we see Frasier open the door and she's got her hand down the front of her dress. I just love that part!
Daphne-(with thick Mancurian English accent):"Oh, hello. Caught me with me hand in the biscuit tin. I'm Daphne, Daphne Moon."

Frasier lets Daphne inside and she looks around and sees Martin's chair.
Daphne-"Oh, will you look at that! What a comfy chair! It's like I always say, start with the good piece and replace the rest when you can afford it."

Daphne-"I'm originally from Manchester, England..."
"I've only been in the US for a few months" (she starts pulling all kinds of stuff out of her bag), but I have quite an extensive background in home care and physical therapy as you can see from my resume." Speaking to Martin-"I-you were a policeman weren't you?"
Martin-"Yes I was, how did you know?"
Daphne-"I must confess, I'm a bit psychic."
Speaking to Frasier-"Oh, wait a minute, I'm getting something on you. You're a florist!"
Frasier-"No, I'm a psychiatrist."
Daphne-"Well, it comes and goes. Usually it's strongest during my time of the month. Oh, I guess I let a little secret out there, didn't I?"

Frasier and Martin excuse Daphne so they can talk.
Daphne-"I completely understand, I'll just pop into the loo. You do have one don't you?"
Frasier- "Yes."
Daphne- "Oh, I love America."

Classic, Jane nailed her scenes.

In Space Quest, Frasier is all upset because his paper has been read.
Daphne- "Well don't worry, we won't tell you what's in it."

After Frasier gives his big speech about how he's not a morning person, Daphne gets up.
Daphne-"I know this is a stressful time, and this is new for all of us. But I'm sure that soon we'll all be getting along swimmingly."
Frasier's robe is open and he's in his pajamas, Daphne looks down at a certain area of his body.
Daphne-"Ooh, six more weeks of winter, I see."

I was rolling with laughter.

In Dinner at Eight:
Frasier-"It didn't go quite like I planned. Daphne, what are you doing."
Daphne-(holding up Frasier's boxers and shaking them) "Fluffing your knickers."

I just enjoy the first official meeting of Niles and Daphne, classic scene.
Frasier-"Daphne, this is my brother, Niles".
Niles-(glances at Daphne and then does a double take with a shocked look on his face) "You're Daphne?"
Daphne-"Why yes I am."
Niles- (he approaches Daphne and shakes her hand)"When Frasier told me he hired and English woman, I pictured someone a little more (hesitates and checks Daphne out), not quite so (hesitates and checks her out again), so you're Daphne?"
Daphne-(smiling) "It's nice to meet you."
Niles:"Lovely accent, is that Manchester?"
Daphne-"Yes, how did you know?"
Niles-"Well, I'm quite the anglifile. I'm sure Frasier and dad have already told you."
Daphne-"No, they didn't mention it."
Niles- "Oh, you undoubtedly guessed as much when they said I spent a year studying at Cambridge."
Daphne-"No, they didn't mention that, either."
Niles-"I guess my father and brother don't spend a lot of time talking about me when I'm not around."
Daphne-"Well, I wouldn't say that."
Too funny! Niles was smitten and Daphne had no clue! It was cute!

Later on when Frasier and Niles are taking Martin out to dinner, Daphne puts on her coat to leave.
Frasier-"Where are you headed off to?"
Daphne-"Tonight is poker night."
Frasier-"I would have pegged you as a card player."
Daphne-"It's mostly social, me and the girls just bumping the gums. Nobody loses more the 5 or 600 dollars."

On I Hate Frasier Crane Daphne brings she and Martin some coffee at the table while he looks at photos of a crime scene. It was of a dead hooker. Martin hands Daphne some photos. She holds one and looks at it very intently.
Daphne-"Her name was Helen."
Martin-"Yeah, it was. You must of seen it on the papers I had lying around."
Daphne-"No I just got this feeling when I touched the picture."
Martin-"You're putting me on."
Daphne-"She had a lot of men in her life."
Martin-"Of course she did, she was a hooker."
Daphne-"No, I mean she had four brothers."
Martin-"That's amazing! She did have four brothers. What else are you getting?"
Daphne-"I see a a man."
Martin-"Yeah?
Daphne-"A well dressed man, he's wearing wing tips and a trench coat."
Martin-"Uh huh, yeah?"
Daphne-"He's getting off an elevator. He's walking down a long hallway, she doesn't know he's coming. He's opening the door..."
Frasier opens the door and comes in.
Frasier-"Hello, everyone."
Daphne-"Sometimes I get me signals crossed."

Here's Looking at You:
Frasier-"Is dad still asleep?"
Daphne-"Yes, he's sleeping with the dog. Eddie's little legs are going like mad, I think he's dreaming of chasing rabbits. I can't explain your father's twitching."

Daphne looking through the telescope that Frasier bought.
Daphne-"Look at that, people going on with their lives, there's an old couple watching the telly, and just next door there is an attractive young woman working at her computer, while below her a burly man is using a beach towel to sop up a large pool of blood. Oh my God!"

Just as Martin gets ready to open the door to meet Irene, I love what Daphne says.
Daphne-"Would you two relax. A word to the wise though. If she asks you to her place after dinner, close the drapes."

On Call Me Irresponsible when Daphne and Martin are decorating the living room for the Christmas card Martin asks where he is.
Daphne-"He's still napping. My grandfather used to nap every afternoon. He lived to be 93."
Martin-"Really?"
Daphne-"He'd lie there on the sofa and you couldn't wake him for the world. Grammy would say might as well be a dead man and then it was one day we couldn't wake him. He really was a dead man."

In The Crucible, I was rolling with laughter at the story Daphne was telling some of the guests at the party.
Daphne-"Me theory on death is, first you are whisked down a long, dark tunnel towards a beautiful white light, you suddenly get all the jokes you never got before. You let out a little chuckle and then you die."

This is a great scene from Beloved Infidel. Daphne greets Frasier as he comes home.
Frasier-"Where's dad?"
Daphne-"Mr. Dorsey down on 8 invited him to watch a ball game."
Frasier-"Oh, great. He's finally getting to know some of the neighbors."
Daphne just stares as him.
Frasier-"What are you staring at?"
Daphne-"Have you thought about growing a mustache?"
Frasier-"No, I don't think it would suit me."
Daphne-"Oh, yes it does."
Frasier-"You've never seen me with one."
Daphne-"Actually I have. There's a billboard for your show down on 16th street. Some kids went after you with a can of spray paint."
Frasier-"And it looked good?"
Daphne-"Ah, yes. But a word to the wise, take good care of your teeth, that look is not at all flattering on you."

In the same episode Niles comes over with some photo albums.
Daphne-"Oh I love to see old family photos. My what a handsome, sinewy young bloke."
Frasier-"That was our dad."
Daphne-"You two take after your mother, don't you?"

In Selling Out I love the story she tells Frasier and Bebe.
Daphne-"Ooh, that's the best kind. You get your money whether you do it or not."
Bebe-"Well, listen to this one."
Frasier-"How do you know that?"
Daphne-"Well, I must confess. There is a chapter in my life that I haven't told you or your father about. When I was 12 I starred in a television show in England. Well, I'll leave you to your business."
Frasier-"Daphne, get back here. You what?"
Daphne-"I started in a TV series, it was quite popular in its day. Maybe you've heard of it, Mind Your Knickers? It was about a group of high spirited ethnically diverse 12 year olds in a girls private boarding school. I played Emma, the short spunky one. Of course, by the end of the series I was 16, 5ft 10 and had my boozies tied up tighter than a mummy. Well, I'm off."

In the opening scene of Death Becomes Him, Daphne and Niles are having a conversation.
Daphne-"No, really. I've never had a serious boyfriend. Nobody's really been interested.
Niles-"Men can be such pigs."
Daphne-"It's not that people weren't trying to fix me up. Like back in Manchester, me mum was steering me towards Reginald Glower the butcher's son. Pasty little thing. Never did take to him, I guess I like me gents more on the manly side."
Niles was making a swan out of a napkin and then he smashes it after Daphne says the last line.
Daphne-"Was that a little swan you made?"
Niles-"No it was a B-52."

In the same episode Martin comes home from the doctor, but he really didn't go. Frasier asks him about all the stuff the doctor did and Martin answers him. Daphne then approaches him and sees the big band aid on his arm.
Daphne-"Ooh, look at this, a nice big band aid. Nice try."
She then rips it off his arm. Priceless.

In Miracle on 3rd or 4th Street, Niles has Daphne try on some dresses that he was "buying" for Maris. After she had modeled them and changed back into her regular clothes, she gave them to Niles. I love what she said to him when she gave the dresses back, and Niles' reaction.
Daphne-"Here you go. Ooh, I'm glad to be out of that black one, I had to take me undies off just to get the zipper up."
Niles drops his glass of sherry and it breaks. Daphne offers to clean it up for him. She leans over and lays the dresses on the arm of the couch, Niles gets an eyeful and almost falls off the couch. Too funny!

In the same episode Niles and Martin invite Daphne to come with them to the cabin but she declines.
Daphne-"No, I promised me uncle Jackie that I would fly down to San Francisco to be with him."
Martin-"Yeah, I guess you should be with your family this time of year. It's more traditional."
Daphne-"Except that Jackie's a transvestite, getting a bit long in the tooth for it if you ask me. At Thanksgiving, he ate too much turkey and I had to cut him out of his pantyhose."

In a scene in Look Who's Coming to Breakfast, Niles and Daphne have a hilarious kitchen scene together.
Daphne's talking to Niles about his father as he tries to sit up on the counter. He can't do it and ends up hitting his head on the exhaust fan.
He falls to the floor as Daphne tends to him.
Daphne-"Dr. Crane, can you try to get up?"
Niles-"No, I think I'll stay here for a few minutes."
I love it when Daphne gives him an ice pack, it was sweet.

In the last scene of the same ep Daphne and Frasier watch Martin leave on his date and then they get all sad. Frasier mentions that they are all alone on a Saturday night and his dad is on date, etc. Daphne then suggests they do laundry. It was so funny!

There are some great scenes in You Can't Buy Me Love. Daphne ends up buying Bulldog at the bachelor auction.
Frasier-"Oh my God, Daphne. Why?"
Daphne-"Things were slowing down so your father asked me to shill. I opened at 100. Who knew that would be the only bid?"

Later in the same ep Bulldog and Daphne are in the limo after the basketball game. Daphne is drunk on champagne and being so freaking hilarious.
Daphne-"I must confess, I was a little apprehensive about going out with you tonight. But I'm actually having a jolly time, unless it's the champagne getting to me. I have had quite a bit, haven't I? Oh who cares, that's the beauty of being in a limo, unless the driver's drinking."
She picks up the phone and talks to the driver.
Daphne-"You're not drinking are you?
She looks at Bulldog.
Daphne-"He's not drinking. Let's drink to the driver not drinking."
Bulldog-"Man you are really looped, this is great."
People honking outside.
Daphne-"Well, that's annoying isn't it? It sure is taking a long time getting out of this parking lot. Didn't I mention this is my first basketball game? Of course I did, three or four times. I still can't get over those players, they are positively gigantic. Not that being tall is the only measure of a man. But it's a bloody good one!" (laughs)
"Oh, dear, I just insulted you, didn't I? Oh well, you can take it, you're a tough little nut."
She hits him on the arm and he spills champagne on his shirt. She looks in her glass.
"Oh boy, this is not good, not good at all."
Bulldog-"What you don't like the champagne?"
Daphne-"No I can see the bottom of me glass." (laughs)
Bulldog-"Well bottoms up!" (as he pours more champagne in her glass)
Daphne-"Oh you are a naughty boy. Now don't be getting any ideas. Look who I'm saying it to, you don't have an idea in your head." (laughs)
"I did it again, I insulted ya. Let's drink to that." (she smacks her glass against Bulldog's and laughs again)
People honk their horns some more.
Daphne-"Now that is downright rude."
She grabs the megaphone.
"Hey you there, you in the Firebird, stop that honking! (continues honking)
"Oh now, now. Just because you look stupid, doesn't mean you have to act stupid!"
Bulldog-"Hey, don't aggravate them, we're kind of pinned in here."
Daphne-"Oh tosh. Civilization is not going to progress one iota when someone tells someone else their manners are amiss."
Guy screams at her.
Daphne-"OH SHUT YOUR BLOODY CAKEHOLE!!!"
Bulldog-"Hey don't do that, now he's getting out of his car!"
Daphne-"Ooh, the tall one too!"
Bulldog-"We need to lock the door."
Daphne-"Don't be stupid, nobody's going to hurt a woman."
Bulldog-"Roll it up! Roll it up!"
Guy grabs Bulldog and pulls him out of the car.
Daphne grabs him and tries to pull him back in.
Daphne-"You let him go! Let him go!"
Bulldog-"Shut up!"
Daphne-"Oh well, we're moving." (she yells out the window) "Thank you, Pitbull, I had a lovely time!"
She then pours herself more champagne, like she needs anymore. Great, great scene! I laughed till I cried!

That is all I have for now because that is all the episodes I have recorded. When I have more eps, I will post more. Stay tuned!

There are so many favorite Daphne scenes...She's one of my favorites! But some come to mind:

"Dinner at Eight"-Of course, where N/D begins!!
"Midwinter Night's Dream"
"Moon Dance"
"First Date"
"Daphne Hates Sherry"
"Visions of Daphne"-Even though it's heartbreaking for Niles!
"Hungry Heart"
"Daphne Returns"
"Something Borrowed, Someone Blue"
"And the Dish Ran Away with the Spoon"
"First Temptation of Daphne"
"The Proposal"
"Ring Cycle"
"Rooms With a View"-Jane is just unbelievable in this ep!
"Daphne Does Dinner"
"No Sex Please, We're Skittish"
And of course can't forget about "Goodnight, Seattle"

But most of these are my fave Niles/Daphne moments as well...*sigh*
