Default Fantasy Network Daytime TV Schedule

I remember when Daytime was morning game shows and afternoon soap operas. I miss those days. You are give 10AM-4PM to create a new daytime lineup. 10-12 or 12:30 is for game shows and the afternoon is for soaps.

What would your lineup look like??? You can bring back old shows or rescue cancelled or soon to be cancelled shows. Also, once a month from 4-5PM is the afterschool specials.

Tell me what all you put on the schedule and who you would add to your shows.

I dont have a full schedule yet but I can tell you some highlights. Obviously, All My Children, One Life to Live are on the schedule. I would make an offer to bring back old soaps like Santa Barbara, As the World Turns, Guiding Light and Another World. Even if they are on for a half hour, I would still do it.
Basically, the lineup would be everything Soapnet was supposed to be like. Dallas, Melrose Place, Knots Landing and Dawsons Creek all on during the daytime. I mean what are your options? More talk shows? More court shows?

Game shows? I would put them on there. Password, Scrabble, Win,Lose or Draw and my favorite game show, Classic Concentration.

Sounds like you have an almost complete list. I must confess I love courtroom programs but there are WAY TOO many and enough talk shows. Here is what I would put on:

10:00-Sale Of The Century (My all time favorite)
10:30-Card Sharks
11:00-Win Lose Or Draw (Vicki Lawrence verison was great.)
11:30- Scrabble
12:00-Body Language (Short Lived game show of charades. I would just change a few rules though)
12:30-Dark Shadows (What a great show. This would be perfect for JER to write if he were still alive.)
1:00-All my life to live (I would combine AMC & OLTL. Erica and Dorian on the same show.)
2:00-Texas (Pam Long wrote a great show the last year. I would bring her back. What ever happened to the women who played Lurlene?? She was funny. I think it should have only been a 1/2 hour show though.)
2:30- Generations (Great idea and great cast. Just need to hire some better writers. I would move Debbi Morgan back to this show. They need her more.Maybe Claire Labine could write this show.)
3:00- Santa Barbara (Bring back the Dobsons for the best show ever and no more of the back stage drama. I think SB biggest problem was it competed with GL and GH. Well GL is off the air and it "appears" GH days are numbered. So that would no longer be an issue.)
4:00 (once a month)- Afterschool Specials

Jill Farren Phelps would not be allowed on my network. If I brought her on my network, all of my shows would be cancelled.

I'm cheating with the times a little bit because I want to put my childhood favorite 'Captain Kangaroo' on my schedule and I want it on at 9am. Also, all of my soaps are only on for 30 minutes. Here goes...

9am:'Captain Kangaroo'
10am: 'Match Game'
10:30 :'Hollywood Squares'
11am: 'Password'
11:30: 'Wheel of Fortune'
Noon: 'Jeopardy'
12:30: 'Search for Tomorrow'
1pm: 'Young and the Restless'
1:30: 'As the World Turns'
2pm: 'Guiding Light'
2:30: 'Days of Our Lives'
3pm: 'Dark Shadows'
3:30: 'The Edge of Night'

I didn't even think about Captain Kangaroo. I love that show as a kid. Dark Shadows and The Edge of Night in the late afternoon. Now that would be a powerful hour. Some network should do that.
