I have watched Laverne and Shirley but maybe not as close because I never knew the relationship between Shirley and Carmine. I mean I know they went out but didnt Shirley date other people during the show?

Shirley and Carmine were on/off again and rarely exclusive with one another.

Shirley and Carmine had an understanding...in Shirley's words, she was allowed to date other men,and he was allowed to date ugly women! LOL!
