Just because it was a spinoff doesn't make it unoriginal, I think all the spinoffs DJM77 listed were unique in their own way.

Benson was a spinoff from Soap.

All in the Family gave several spin-offs, Jeffersons, Maude, Good Times (which was a spin-off of Maude. Florida Evans was Maude's housekeeper), Gloria, Archie Bunker's Place.

Facts of Life (a spin-off of Diff'rent Strokes) had three intended spin-offs that never got their own series...one was about Jo's cousins, another about the military academy, and another about Tootie's interracial aunt and uncle.

Three's Company had the Ropers, and Three's a Crowd.

Mary Tyler Moore had Rhoda and Phyllis.

Just the Ten of Us came from Growing Pains.

Saved by the Bell had The College Years, and the New Class.

Brady Bunch had Brady Brides, and maybe another one...They had intended to make a spin-off about the Brady's neighbors who had adopted three kids, one white, one black, on asian.

there was also a spin off about blaire buying and running the eastland academy for girls there was an episdoe the pilot probably that aired but the show never took off!!
