Jon Hamm Re-ups with 'Mad Men' For 3 More Years
Great news for fans of one of the best hours of drama on television. I've learned that Jon Hamm just inked a 3-year Mad Men contract with Lionsgate TV and network AMC in a deal that makes the show's star one of the highest paid actors in a cable series. Mad Men returns to AMC in 2012, and this deal brings the critically acclaimed show one step closer to production. Hamm is long represented by ICM and his manager is Connie Tavel. Hamm's signing comes on the heels of Mad Men creator Matt Weiner closing a new $30 million deal for the show following one of the longest and most difficult showrunner re-negotiations in recent TV history. AMC officially renewed Mad Men for 2 more seasons and Lionsgate TV already locked in Mad Men creator Matt Weiner for three more years. So this Hamm negotiation effectively assures that Mad Men will go to 7 seasons.

That's awesome! I love Jon Hamm and this news is great, considering that I kept hearing they were going to cancel it after 4 seasons! I love this show, although I have to admit I haven't watched it in quite a while.
