Default Ever been stung ?

Bees,wasps,hornets,yellow jackets,mud dobbers.
I have been stung by all of the above, some left scars.
how can something so small deliver so much pain and damage ?
I had one of those big fuzzy black bumblebees fly thru my
window while I was driving,he went under the sleeve of my
t-shirt and stung me under the armpit. I almost wrecked my car,
the pain almost caused me to blackout. If you want to read
something really scary, look up ASIAN GIANT HORNET.
He is so big he can kill with one sting. I hope they stay in Asia.

I'm almost 47 and up until about 15 years ago I had never been stung but a yellowjacket landed on my hand one day and ruined my streak. I haven't been stung by anything since.

Cool

When I was a kid I stepped on a Bee in my back-yard and it stung me on my foot! I was hoping around on one foot a la Fred Flintstone for a few minutes. I haven't been stung since.

Yes, when I was young I stepped in a yellow jackets nest. Had to go to the hospital. Wary of bees ever since and have a bad reaction to stings (I swell up a lot)

Exclamation

I have not been stung by anything in years, but when I was younger,
I would get stung by both Bees and Wasps and the stings would swell
up very badly and I would have to take large doses of Benadril(which never
failed to make me drowsy) and take Epsom Salt baths.

Yes I have been stung. Unfortunately, it always causes swelling and a lot of itching. I hate mosquitos, wasps, ants, bees, flies, etc.

When I was a kid my grandparents and I were in Galveston visiting my great aunt. I was standing on her porch, and I put my hand on the wooden railing. Unfortunately there was a dead bee there and it stung the crap out of me. It hurt like crazy! To this day I am deathly afraid of bees and things like that. And as of this post, I haven't been stung since.

Been stung many, many times, by many things; hornets, wasps, and bees. Mostly at work, where we have a serious wasp problem year after year. I do swell up a bit but I am not allergic. Worst time was when I was stung on my back AND on my neck at the same time; never was sure how that happened, we only found one wasp.

It does hurt like hell, though. I hate even thinking about it!

Well...if I ever get married and have a child, the most important piece of clothing for them will be...shoes. (You can never tell what your kid may step on).

But on subject...

At the age of 2, I was stung by a Honeybee, the stinger slipped right-off the finger.
At the age of 8, I was stung by a Wasp...it felt like a numb pin went through me.
And almost 10 years ago, I got stung by a Bumblebee...I thought I got burned on the car seat since it was a hot day and the car seat was leather.

And for the worst stings ever...that's The Bullet Ant, you'll feel like you got shot!

At the house where I grew up, there was a flower bed on a bank in front of the house where bees would congregate regularly during the spring and summer. I used to be afraid of walking in front of it and would often walk through the back door. I remember getting stung once by a bee on a schoolbus, right on the ear. Boy did it hurt.

I guess some people have worse reactions than others to bug bites. When I get bit by a mosquito for example it swells up pretty bad. It takes Benadryl and hydrocortizone cream to make it better.

Yes, we do have those here. One has gotten into my house before. I sprayed the heck out of it with bug killer.

I've got stung by bees during my childhood. I've learned that it's best to leave them alone. So nowadays I leave them be. I've also got bit by flies and mosquitos.
