Question IF YOU...

OK. I guess this is accidentally becoming a series of questions about YOU on the island!

If you were on the island with the castaways, do you think the "romantic" dynamics on the island would change in any way?

Yep. I'd fight anyone for Gilligan.

Mary Ann's scrappy, Teebs. She'd take you down.

I'd just get pouty and then make sure to hang out with him a lot when she was in one of her cranky "Oh-Gilligan!-hands-on-hips" moods. That'll show 'er!

I sense a three-way Pie Bake-off. Either way, Gilligan wins!

Unfair! I don't know how to make pie! o.O

But I make a killer banana muffin.

Poor Mary Ann's already put in all the leg-work, though. We can't just swoop in and be like, "Awesome, thanks" and steal him away. All those years of wearing shorts and shameless flirting and suggestively kissing trees in front of him would go to waste.

I don't know how to make pie either. I can take one out of a box, but Gilligan's a pie connoisseur...he'd know the difference straight away.

There's an inappropriate joke in there somewhere...but then, there always is.

Haha, you said 'leg-work'. Who says we can't be like "Awesome, thanks" and steal him away? All's fair in love and war! Except Mary Ann does look a lot better in shorts than I do, plus I've never done to a tree what she did.

He is a pie connoisseur. If I recall, he even paid $3,000 for one once.

(Refrains from making a joke about pie from a box).

Yay, the dancing banana!

I can't cook. You don't wear shorts. Neither one of us has ever violated a tree. I think we've already lost.

Not to take away from Gilligan, but I am Team Professor all the way. Me being there wouldn't make any difference, though... I mean, if Ginger can't succeed, what chance do I have? Then there would be THREE romantically frustrated women on the island (counting Mary Ann)... and still no love for poor Skipper, the only single man on the island who seems to have a clue.

If I were on the island, as with almost all of you who answered, it would add another girl and "even out" the numbers. This might press the idea of "pairing up" with the "right" person since there is one for everyone. It wouldn't be a free for all or a competition perhaps. Since numerically, there would be someone for everyone, maybe one would be "expected" to be with the person for whom they seemed most suited. I agree with the pro-Gilligan contingency here but I fear I might be linked with the Professor instead and maybe the Skipper would seem more suited to go with Ginger.

By the way, if Teebs and JWood201 were on the island together, they would most definitely be able to take Maryann down. I don't know what Gilligan's reaction to that would be and also whether the two of you would then have to engage in a second round of fighting between you. Teebs, you bring up an interesting point, though. You say you don't look good in shorts, in your opinion, do you think that would matter to Gilligan?

Let me make it clear here that if The Prof were to make an 'advance' I would not turn him down as he's a pretty goodlooking dude. But G Man will always be my first choice. He would present the biggest challenge, certainly, however he'd be an awesome BFF and you'd get him alone by suggesting an afternoon of butterfly hunting or bird watching or beach combing and then you could try out your womanly wiles but not as blatantly as Ginger otherwise he'd just knock himself out on the nearest tree.

Re the shorts, I lost a lot of weight last year which meant all my curves went, even the ones I wanted to keep. So I'd definitely need Booty Boosters if I were to compete with Mary Ann. I don't think it would matter to Gilligan though. In fact, the more sexually overt the woman, the more afraid he seems to be. He does appear to have a libido ~ it shows up subliminally in his dreams pretty much all the time. But in 'real life', being a sexually unthreatening tomboy (who still allowed a man to feel like he was in charge) would work pretty well with Gilligan, I think.

Then again, if Mary Ann can't get him to notice her, and she's pretty much perfect, what real chance has anyone else got?

Skipper, on the other hand.... he'd be a pushover.

I am sooooooooooo Team Jonas(skipper). I LOVE older men and I think the skipper was incredibly handsome. The show just made him look like a dufus and bumbling. Plus he's not VERY fat. Beautiful blue eyes, great smile....

I don't mean to argue -- I'm asking this question with an open mind . What did you see in Gilligan's dreams that shows he has a libido ?
