Default Anyone Remember Sea Hunt?

Does anyone remember the classic underwater show Sea Hunt that aired in first run syndication from 1958-61 and in reruns for years thereafter? The show starred Lloyd Bridges as Mike Nelson, a former Navy frogman who took on freelance assignments in the deep. A Ziv production. There was a short-lived revival in the 80s with Ron Ely taking over Bridges' role and there was a new character, a daughter named Jennifer who was played by Kimber Sissons.

I really enjoyed watching Sea Hunt because of the underwater scenes that were beautifully photographed by Lamar Boren. Reruns are aired in the early AM on the digital subchannel This TV.

I've only recently been able to enjoy this series, thanks to a set I got from ioffer. They definatly don't make shows like these anymore.

Default Anyone Remember Sea Hunt?

I don't know if this is the right board to post this but it's the closest to ask if anyone remembers the classic underwater show Sea Hunt? It was the show that made a comeback of Lloyd Bridges after his brief blacklisting in the 50s.

Sea Hunt was a show the networks turned down because they felt an underwater show was too limited. They were proven wrong when it became a big hit in syndication and ran in reruns for many years thereafter. It was one of the few shows I liked that was not a sitcom or a game show. I remember my dad and I used to watch the reruns on Channel 2 in New York on Saturday afternoons. A Ziv Production.

Just saw an episode this morning. Thought the episode was a little corny.

Sea Hunt and Highway Patrol were big syndication hits along with Leave To Beaver for over sixty years around the world! Too bad the actors collect no royalties on the re-runs.
