Default Nick at Nite Schedule Change Effective 1/7/02

Starting Monday January 7th, 9 and 9:30pm e/p will be "Kids Say the Darndest Things." It will air Sun-Thurs 9-10pm e/p.
It is probably airing for either 2 reasons: Either it got great ratings for the 2 days it aired in December or it is a filler (holding) The Cosby Show slot until March. And yes it will still air on TNN Weekdays at 10-11am e/p.
So Diff'rent Strokes will probably return in March or so, hopefully.
I'll try to contact Nick at Nite to see the status on this change.

*Falls to Floor* OMG! That is just....ew. I thought there motto was 'All Sitcoms, All the Time'...I just knew DS would get the boot, but I thought that wouldn't happen until March when "The Cosby Show" came...poor "Family Ties"...now it's only on at 1-2 PM.

*May Those N@N Executives Ruin Their Carrers*

BTW, I've been noticing Nick's ratings as a whole have fallen. That's what they get for messing with something that isn't broken. Meanwhile, TV Land's ratings have been shooting up....

According to some articles that measured how many people were watching the network on Cable. I don't remember the place, but there are multiple places that have this article. Nickelodeon/Nick @ Nite finished fifth, falling by 2.?%. Lifetime finished first. Also, I believe Nick was tied with TNT

The ratings that are available right now just show the channel Nickelodeon as a whole, doesn't show Nick at nite at all.

Last spring or so, every show was available on cable in a basic cable ratings chart, it was great! That's when TC, DS and BB were the top shows on Nick at Nite.

Okay, I really don't understand this. If the ratings fell so badly, why don't they remove the bad lineup and put on the lineup that made them a good network? I don't understand that.

Okay, here is my opinion on Kids Say.....Personally, I don't see that as a sitcom. I just don't. Plus I don't want to see something that was canceled 2 months ago. AAaarhhhh! I'm shutting up before I get so angry that my hair begins to short circuit.

I cringe to think that Three's Company may be the next in
line to get the axe, they already moved it to the late late
night spot even though it was SUPPOSED to be their top
show at the time.We don't get Tvland,so any show that
moves over from N@N to there we miss.
As I mentioned on another board on another website what
we need is a cable network that shows ONLY classic sitcoms
24-7.
I mean there are plenty out there!
btw:I agree KSTDT ISN'T a sitcom,it's more like CANDID CAMERA.

It's not; it's more variety. Now, if they showed the old "Kids Say..." with Art Linkletter, I'd be interested, but the new one?

Nick needs to talk to Rich Cronin, the guy that runs the Game Show Network (and used to run TVL). He realized that it was the classic shows that were getting all the attenton, so they stayed and GSN is flourishing. I guess some have to sick so others can swim. *evil laughter*

Angry

Nick lost me last fall after one too many marathons, now I'm split between TV LAND &Game Show Network,I miss the NAN of old circa 1985-1990,TIIC should know marathons break viewing patterns...Family Ties is apearantly a big BUST,I'm sure there will be a Cosby marathon and another show will be pushed into the graveyard shift, theres no reason to watch Nick anymore most ,if not all the shows are available on local stations or TBS,come on Nick get a ****** clue, and no NOT BLUES CLUES!!!!!

I think it's time that we begin chiseling the Nick at Nite gravestone!

First ruining their schedule by overdosing on Double Takes and then chocking us to death with an endless supply of Cheers. Now, this may be the final nail in Nick at Nite's coffin.

TV Land needs to rescue The Brady Bunch, Diff'rent Strokes and Family Ties!!! All the other N&N shows (All in the Family, Cheers, Three's Company) can waste away on Nick at Nite. I feel very sorry for The Cosby Show, will there be any viewers left to see it?

No no.
The Brady Bunch should stay and kill away on NAN.
It's been there for four years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Three's Company just got there in 2000.It should move to TVLand right after Laverne & Shirley in the mornings. That'd be perfect!

GRRRR.....I hate N@N. Why do they change a good thing? I agree, KIDS is not a sitcom. I want Threes Compnay back, and I want a station that shows ALL sitcoms ALL day. That would be so cool.
