TV My Family TV Launching in Major Markets, Adds Highway to Heaven, Lassie, Route 66 Etc

Link

CLEARWATER, Fla., June 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- ValCom, Inc. (VLCO.PK) announced today that its My Family TV television network has added a powerful lineup of new programs to its schedule and is launching in major markets across the country.

In recent weeks the network rolled out over 10 new programs including Route 66, The New Zorro, Cold Squad, Da Vinci's Inquest, I Spy, Lassie, and the morning talk-show Daytime. In July, My Family TV will premiere the critically acclaimed Michael Landon program, Highway to Heaven.

The network also recently expanded its movie library by adding titles starring the top names in Hollywood including Robert De Niro, Anthony Hopkins, Cicely Tyson, Russell Crowe, Marlon Brando, Alec Baldwin, Mel Gibson, and Denzel Washington.

The new programming lineup has caused a stir within the broadcast industry with My Family TV signing agreements to expand into markets across the country. The network recently launched in Miami, FL, Sacramento, CA, Utica, NY and Auburn, AL and has signed agreements to launch this year in New York, San Francisco and Boston. My Family TV is in active negotiations with 28 additional stations across the country. This additional distribution would add 15 million homes to the network diving total distribution to over 45 million homes. My Family TV is already showing a profit and the increased distribution would allow the network to increase advertising rates more than 50 percent.

"When we acquired My Family TV just over two years ago, we implemented a plan to quickly increase the value of the network," stated Vince Vellardita, President and CEO of ValCom. "We're following the same path that The Family Channel experienced, before it was sold to Fox and eventually Disney for $5.2 Billion. My Family TV is an asset that will soon be worth hundreds of millions if not a billion dollars."

My Family TV's programming is a dynamic mix of family friendly movies, classic television, kid's shows, outdoor/recreation programming, and lifestyle programs. More information about My Family TV can be found on the network's website: www.myfamilytv.tv

Cool

It doesn't look like I'm in the viewing area for this channel. I used to love Route 66. I think the last time I saw it on tv was probably in the early 80's. Is Route 66 on DVD?

A company called Infinity Entertainment has released the first 3 seasons of Route 66 on DVD.

Most of the shows they are currently airing are just public domain shows. I am not impressed.

I'm not aware of any episodes of Route 66, Highway to Heaven or Lassie that are in the public domain. I also didn't post this to impress anyone, I just thought someone here might be interested in possibly seeing the channel if it comes to their area. Since they're looking to expand into larger markets, it's very possible they could acquire other non-public domain shows.

So far we have
My Family TV
RTV
Antenna TV

that offer the old classic shows. I think it's wonderful for those able to get these channels and I wish that someday one of these is available to all people. We will never be able to pick up anything with an antenna but I still hope it'll come to DirecTV and Dish someday.
