Was it the writers? No. Was it the network? Nope! Was it Mary Tyler Moore? Think Again! It was Gavin Macleod aka Murray who put Valerie Harper on Weight Watchers where she lost over 30 pounds. No offense to Gavin or Valerie, but #1 she wasn't fat and #2 she looked better with a little meat on her bones.
