Hey guys,

5 years ago this month

The Miami Heat and the Dallas Mavericks competed for the very 1st time in the NBA Finals

The Heat lead by the Duo of Shaq and D-Wade, def. the Mavericks with a series of 4-2

and now, 5 years later, the tables have turned

The Dallas Mavericks lead by Dirk Nowitzki def. the Miami Heat lead by the Big 3 of Bosh, Wade and James with a series of 4-2 to win the NBA Title for the very 1st time

and now, it's even

Heat is 1-1 in the Finals over the Dallas Maverick and Mavericks are 1-1 over the Miami Heat

and also, Jason Kidd who is now 38 years old has spent 17 years in the NBA and he has FINALLY won a championship

This was also the 3rd time that Jason Kidd has competed in the NBA Finals

He won the Eastern Conference Finals Back to Back in 2002 and 2003, but lost to the Lakers in 2002 and the Spurs in 2003

and plus, this is the 7th time that the NBA Championship has come home to the Lone Star State of Texas

Houston Rockets; 2x NBA Champions

San Antonio Spurs; 4x NBA Champions

Dallas Mavericks; 2011 NBA Champions

and this is the 2nd time Lebron James has competed in the NBA Finals and has lost both of them, in 2007, he was shut out by Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs and now, he's lost another Finals Match, this time to the Dallas Mavericks

Dallas Mavericks have def. the Portland Trailblazers, Oklahoma City Thunder and the Miami Heat and their biggest accomplishment this season was sweeping the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Semi-Finals

They got their revenge! Congrations to the Mavericks, my friends in Dallas are celebrating right now and I am very happy for them! Now only if my Orlando Magic would win a Championship

I'm not a basketball fan at all, but living in Dallas I did grow up with the Mavericks. Needless to say, I had no idea they were doing so well this season and they certainly deserve it! I can't believe that Jason Kidd is still with the team. He was there back in 1996 when we moved to Seattle!
