Default The Most PO'ed Ward Has Been.

Wally and especially Beaver would do things to get themselves in trouble and naturally Ward would get mad. In what episode do you think they got Ward the most pissed off???

First thing that comes to mind is when he (publicly) castigated Beaver for climbing up into that silly billboard cup.

Second one is when Beav and Wally had the bus mixup on the way to their aunt's house. He seemed pretty enraged at that one.

Honestly, sometimes Ward's anger kind of frightened me as a kid. I think that was the way dads were back then; kids loved them but they weren't their children's "buddy". They were a teacher and sometimes discipline came with that.

When Larry and the Beav drilled the holes in the garage.

Also, when the boys took their money to buy Ward the hunting jacket.

I think Ward was the most angry when Beaver came into Mrs. Rayburn's office wearing the monster sweatshirt!

He was quite ticked when Beaver was late getting home from school because he locked himself in Mrs. Rayburn's office. Not only was he enmbarrassed that beaver had to be rescued by the fire department, Ward was upset because it worried June. It seemed anytime one or both boys would worry or upset June, Ward would get mad.

Then of course the when Beaver got his ring stuck on his finger. Another time Ward mentioned how it upset his mother.

Then the baseball...Wow! Can't blame him though.

I remember the episode when Beaver got locked Mrs. Rayburn's office and ward lectured him about the money it cost the city for his foolishness. He also said "In the future, Beaver THINK! Before you do something that causes you all this trouble and embarrassment."

There was the time that Wally & Beaver built a boat. Against their father's orders, they and and a couple of friends took it to a local pond to try it out. As Beaver was the youngest, he was given the "honor" to ride in the boat when it was pushed into the pond. The boat turned over and Beaver went into the water. When Ward discovered what they had done, he had both stay in their room for a period of time with no television for a month. (I think I'm right about the length of time they couldn't watch TV). He didn't yell, but you could tell he was angry (and probably thankful that Beaver hadn't drowned).

In the episode when Lumpy wants to join the Merchant Marines they think Wally wants to leave home after the scolding Wally got from Ward. We don't see it but Wally was late for dinner and never called so Ward took him into the den and yelled at him. He's still mad when he comes out to the kitchen and gives Beaver a little advice about staying out late.

How about the time (Beaver's Prize) that Beaver was in Ward's desk and spilled ink in the top drawer. Ward's fingers are all ink and tells Beaver he is to stay home all day on Saturday no friends or anything. Wally asks if he wants to yell at him and Ward tells Wally to watch his step too. He was furious.

Ward is quite angry in Yard Birds when Mr. Hill comes to the door with Ward's trash that was dumped on his vacant lot. He turns around to go upstairs to find Lumpy and Eddie and looks really angry especially when he barges in.

Also in Tire Trouble he is mad when the garage is a mess but when it's a mess the next day too he calls them both stupid. Love when Beaver says "When I grow up I'm never gonna yell at my kids." Wally-Sure you will Beav, the only fathers who don't yell at their kids are on television."

I know what you mean, but now that I think of it, Ward had a lot of anger issues. I wonder if he was suffering from PSTD after the War. It's no wonder that Beaver grew up to be a wishy washy dad with his children.

That gets my vote as well.

This episode was good for two Ward lectures; a first lecture in the den and a second lecture after he had cooled down.

To me, probably late in the series when Wally, Eddie and Lumpy took Ward's 1962 Plymouth sedan to another town for a sporting event and Eddie ragged on the car by driving it through a huge wet puddle/hole.

To me, for June's most mad moment, it was easily when Beaver wouldn't eat the brussels sprouts. I've never seen her more mad at him.

Ward was PO'ed in Sweatshirt Monsters when Beaver was told not to wear the Monster Sweatshirt, but was deceitful by putting it under his regular clothes and running out of the house to change by hiding his school clothes in the garden shed.

Beaver was so confident that he wouldn't get in trouble if everyone wore their monster shirts, but he was the only one who did. All of Beaver's friends got caught trying to sneak out of the house. Beaver got laughed at and reprimanded at school. Ward let's him have it! Saying that a thing is either right or it's wrong, no matter how many people say otherwise.
