Crazy Random Thought About the Show...

Just to introduce myself to this forum and to share this random thought I had while attempting fanfiction about this show.

Wouldn't it be ironic if Pearl turned out to be a lesbian? Stay with me here. She's man-crazy and desperated for a husband, but what if she starts to have feelings for Elverna Bradshaw? I'm an insufferable fanfiction author who happens to be bisexual and schizophrenic and I won't appologize for it, but it's just a random thought I had. Discuss this in a mature way. Don't rake me out, please.

I don't know if that would be *ironic* so much as simply out-of-character. Maybe it would depend on the way you wrote it. I remember when Alanis Morrisette wrote a song that she thought was ironic but (ironically) Ironic wasn't.

Well, that's the thing, I've got her in character, just with one small change. Elverna's acting like she's been abducted by aliens, but that's because she wasn't on the show much so fanfiction writers can play with her. I'm just trying to keep Pearl's family in character with how they would react. Here are their reactions so far:

Granny- Gets her shotgun.

Jed- Tries to keep Granny calm, he'll deal with Pearl later. (I haven't figured out how exactly he would take it.)

Elly May- Haven't figured this one out yet.

Jethro- Or this one...

Jethrine- Or this one...

Could you give me some pointers on their reactions? I'm dying to write this story as good as I can!

I think it would be necessary for Miss Jane to have to come over and explain it to Jed. And Jed would have to sit down and "have a talk" with to Elly and Jethro. It would take a long time for Jethro to comprehend it.
