The Honeymooners did inspire the animated series The Flintstones. And on the Flintstones (which lasted 6 years) Fred and Wilma did eventually become parents to Pebbles. It gave the writers an opportunity to explore a whole different side of Fred's personality and the same thing may have worked for Ralph Kramden.
