My choices:
Best Comedy Series Parks and Recreation (NBC) --- It was the most consistent of any of the comedies this season Best Actor in a Comedy Series Steve Carell (The Office, NBC) --- "The Office" was inconsistent but Steve Carell was on top of his game as always, especially in the episodes leading up to his departure Best Actress in a Comedy Series Amy Poehler (Parks and Recreation, NBC) --- Amy Poehler has completely made the character of Leslie Knope her own. Glad to see Patricia Heaton get a nod though Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series Ty Burrell (Modern Family, ABC) --- Ty Burrell has been even funnier this season than in the breakout first season Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series Julie Bowen (Modern Family, ABC) --- Julie Bowen is the most underrated cast member in this excellent ensemble Best Drama Series Friday Night Lights (DirecTV) --- So sad to see this quality show end and it's a shame it never found a mass audience Best Actor in a Drama Series Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights, DirecTV) --- Kyle Chandler is just perfect in the lead role for this great drama Best Actress in a Drama Series Connie Britton (Friday Night Lights, DirecTV) --- Along with Kyle Chandler, Britton is the moral center of this heartfelt drama Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series Alan Cumming (The Good Wife, CBS) --- I don't watch any of these shows regularly but I've liked what I've seen from Alan Cummings Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series Archie Panjabi (The Good Wife, CBS) --- Same with Panjabi... I don't watch any of these shows regularly but I do like her Best Reality Series Undercover Boss (CBS) --- It's fading but a very unique concept that's done well Best Reality Series - Competition American Idol (Fox) --- "Idol" found its footing again this season even though the final two was disappointing Best Reality Show Host Ryan Seacrest (American Idol, Fox) --- Seacrest was actually more enjoyable this season without the constant bickering with Simon Best Talk Show The Daily Show (Comedy Central) --- Consistently the strongest though I wouldn't be upset with Oprah getting some love for her final season |
