Is is correct that the board has been asked not to discuss any details of the murders of the two Marys by authorities??? Or is it certain parts of the case......you would think any publicity may produce new leads, jog memories, etc

Unfortunately rules are rules. Kind of like Houdinis secrets were not supposed to be revealed until a certain time years after his death and I believe details of JFKs death were not to be revealed until some date in which case everyone alive at the time would be dead. Not sure on that but I read it somewhere.
I guess it is up to the detectives of the Harris County cold case squad when people can talk about it on this forum. The directive was made in 2005. |

As I understand it, the PD requested of the moderators that we not discuss the case. Given the purpose of this board, they agreed. That's wholly reasonable and as a good-faith gesture, they and we agreed. It's voluntary censorship, however. |
