I've got the 1st season on dvd and have been catching some of the 2nd season on Me.tv; i've noticed that the show's producer, for whatever reason, began to limit the amount of actors' credits to one page even if the part was fairly substantial.
And some of them ended up having pretty impressive careers, with C54WAY being an early unlisted footnote. Take Je T'adour Muldoon - where Muldoon is suppose to ask the capt's neice to be his mardi gras queen, but instead has a boost of self-confidence and turns into a lothario; one of the actress' who is credited is lisa loughlin, who played Tess in Muldoon's Star in season 1. The cpt neice is played by Katherine Helmond, pre-nose job, while the mother of Muldoon's high school acquaintance Rhoda is played by Jean Stapleton. The dark-haired woman at the bar looks a lot like Laine Kazan. This tv show is a godsend for ol' fashion comedy lovers like myself. It's pure comedy, with none of the heavy dramatic elements that became the filler in the 70s and 80s. It's got an authenticity about it, too, which i think the creator got from the new york sets and actors he relied heavily on. I love it and can't wait to see season 2 on disc! |

Spacing, spelling and punctuation are your friends. That post was really hard to read.
