"Glee" Star Naya Rivera Snags a Record Deal

As resident McKinley High troublemaker Santana on "Glee", supporting actress Naya Rivera routinely steps aside for series standouts Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Santana's love interest, played by Heather Morris, to take the spotlight.

But now, the 24-year-old Californian is making a play for solo success:
EW.com reports that Rivera has scored a record deal with Columbia Records.





Rivera is the third star of the hit series to go solo.

"Glee" castmates Matthew Morrison (Will Shuester) and Mark Salling (Puck) have already released their own albums -- while many fans of Broadway belter Michele remain hopeful she'll announce a record deal soon.





As "Glee" takes a hiatus for the summer, Rivera and her co-stars kicked off their live tour last weekend in Los Angeles, singing and dancing to a sold-out crowd of Gleeks.
