I was doing some research on this case, and found this news clip from 2010..so, pretty recent. Looks like they have some new evidence that may help crack the case, and they mention the UM broadcast in the video...not sure if this had been posted previously:

Wow! This is potentially good news, and always good to hear when cold cases are active and getting media coverage. What do you think the "significant" new evidence could be? Blood? Fingerprints?

Thanks for the link! I'm also curious if it was evidence found in Rivera's vehicle. Possibly the perpetrator was a teenager or a transient, who then drove the car until it ran out of gas.

Yea, I thought it was pretty interesting as I have never really "looked into" this case much deeper than the UM broadcast. It would be nice to see it solved. It's too bad that the "simple wooden cross" that marked the spot where his body was found is no longer there.
