CBS President Predicts 'Two and a Half Men' Reboot Will Get HUGE Premiere Numbers!
At the Nomura U.S. Media Summit in New York, CBS Corp. President and CEO Leslie Moonves boldly predicted "huge numbers" for the fall premiere of "Two and a Half Men" with Ashton Kutcher as a new cast member in place of Charlie Sheen, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Moonves said the show's premiere could pull "AFC Championship-type numbers," referring to the NFL playoffs. That would be an average overnight household rating/share of 31.3/46, based on CBS’s broadcast of the 2011 AFC Championship Game. Moonves also revealed that CBS Sports would not bid on the Olympics, saying it is not a cost-effective event for the network. http://www.tvweek.com/blogs/tvbizwire/ |

She predicts that over 31 million people will tune into the TAAHM premiere in the fall? Those numbers seem a little high, imo.

The premiere will get huge numbers, because people will tune in out of curiousity. Then, people will get bored.

The curiosity factor will be huge!! The challenge for producers will be to keep those viewers watching in week two and beyond!

If I were CBS Corp. President and CEO Leslie Moonves I would be very concerned with the ratings for weeks 2 and on. It is a no brainer to predict high ratings for the first episode but I think she is way over estimating the first weeks ratings.

Take a look at those ratings come episode 7, then 12. I get the feeling they won't compare to anything in years past. |

[QUOTE=dlemond]I agree. Week one will do great ratings. Nothing like Moonves has predicted though. (Leslie Moonves is man, just to let you know)

I predict a premiere around 18-20 million, before settling in at about 10-12 million, which will be enough to secure 2-3 more years of Men 2.0!
