I ask, because we have yet to hear anything from Judd pertaining to the death of Jeff Conaway. We also know that Tony & Marilu were at his bedside the whole time but Judd was nowhere to be seen!

Not so much that he wasn't by his bedside, but I think its curious he hasn't made any public statement. Danny Devito and first season cast member, Randall Carver have, in addition to Marilou. Nothing from Christopher Lloyd either.

I was just over on the Bewitched board, where a thread was just posted summarizing the relationship (or lack of relationship) between Elizabeth Mongomery and Dick York from the point DY left the show, until his passing. Apparently EM never had any comment over his passing, yet did have a reaction to Dick Sargent, Agnes Moorehead and the passing of other costars.
Its simple. They weren't close. They were two people that worked together for 5 years, and that was that. They parted ways. It made me think of Jeff Conaway's recent passing, and all of us pondering what all theTaxi co-stars are feeling. From the looks of it, Jeff, Marilou and Tony had a significant bond or close friendship, that wasn't evident in the relationship with Judd Hirsh and Jeff. There may not have been any falling out, or maybe there was, but maybe sometimes the entire cast/ensemble is just not as close as say, the cast of The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Anyway, that summary of the relationship of Montgomery and York, kind of put things into perspective, as far as fans of classic sit-coms just assuming that everyone involved in a show is one big happy family, forever. I guess thats not always the case. |

Your guess is as good as mine. However, Judd Hirsch has always struck me as a private sort of fellow. We haven't heard any public comments from Christopher Lloyd or Carol Kane, either, and I haven't heard anything from his Grease co-star (and one-time sister-in-law) Olivia Newton-John. Has Stockard Channing made a public comment?

If nothing else, it's a testament to the professionalism of these actors. Because without the internet, assorted social media forums and "tell-alls", we'd never have known. |

It's easy to make assumptions based on so little information. I would expect Henner and Danza to be at the bedside of one of their coworkers, just based on their personalities. I would try not to read more into it than that.
