Default When did you first start watching GG

Did you start watching GG during it's original run? Or after, during syndication?

I first started watching during the shows original run in the late 1980s. Living in Florida, the show was very popular here. I even recorded some of the original run broadcasts on my VCR, probably in the very early 1990s. We didn't have cable yet and were using an aerial antenna, so the picture was sometimes fuzzy.

i started watching when i was pregnant with my oldest daughter, in 2002. It came on everyday after the Nanny, my favorite show back then i have all the dvds now and watch it pretty much everyday now while i cook or before i go to sleep. Its on again on german tv here, but the dubbing (is that what you call it??) is horrible. Sophia sounds like a chain smoker and Rose like a mouse. Also, the translation is really bad!

I think I first saw reruns- NBC had shown them weekday mornings starting in 1987 or so- and then New York's Channel 5 aired them (from what I recall). I started watching/recording the Saturday night airings circa 1989 (the start of the 5th season).

Ditto, even though I was 6 years old I can remember very faintly watching that first episode. For some reason I seem to remember the one where they were robbed a lot better, maybe because of Rose firing the gun? Anyway, growing up in the 1980s I am one who believes that great TV can happen on Saturday night regardless of what demographics and network execs say!

It has been so long ago now I can't remember exactly what age I was when I began watching this but I guess I was around 13 or 14 years old when I first started watching The Golden Girls

I watched the first ep and 'Twas the Nightmare Before Christmas ep during the original run. However, I didn't get to watch any more until they were all available on DVD (just never found the time). Watched all the seasons in order at least four times, so far and they never get boring.

I was 15, in 1985. I remember watching it from the very beginning and every Sat. night, when I could until 1992, when it ended. It was a big deal in the 80s and I especially remember my Grandma's loving it! Watching the reruns on Lifetime years later, I grew to appreciate it even more. Although now I have all the DVDs and rarely watch it. But they are there, on my shelf, when I'm ready to return to the Golden Girls It's sad to watch at this time because I think about them (except Betty) no longer with us

I watched during the original run. A lot of jokes went over my head because I was a kid in the 80s, but I just loved GG.

I started watching it again when I saw it on Lifetime, but I can remember a time when I was 3 or 4 (that's 1990 and or 1991) My mom use to watch it and the one thing that caught my naive eye was that in the kitchen there was always three people at the table and one on the stool next to the island.

4 people always sat at our kitchen table so it baffled my mind as to why didn't the fourth person sit at that last part of their table. Clearly I wasn't thinking about stages directions, cameras and all but I can remember asking myself that.

I'm 16 and I got into the show when I was around 14. The first episode I watched, I was hooked right away. I've been a die hard fan for nearly 2 years now.
