What was it with T. D. (Hayden and Christine's son) playing with dolls, as we saw towards the end of the show? That was so stupid!

Oh, so they do finally have a son?
I am just up to season 7, and just posted how I think with end of season 6, begin of season 7, the show is starting to go down hill anyways. |

Their son was adopted. I may be totally mistaken, but I thought I read something about the actor playing the boy being related to a cast member... ?
