Some strange episodes this week, as the show tries to mirror the times of the late sixties.
Mon---The Flip Side Cissy falls for a teenage singing idol, played by Eddie Hodges, who had a big hit in 1961 with the song "I'm Going To Knock On Your Door", and also appeared on "The Dick van Dyke Show" as Richie's babysitter. Tue---The Matter Of Dignity Wed---Flower Power Cissy wants to join a group of "flower children". Real heavy, man!! Thu---My Man, The Star Mr. French is chosen to star in a modern art film. I told you this was a strange week! |

Just to say thanks for the episode dates. (It helps in taping certain episodes). Do you think that CTS will restart the episodes once they've gone through them all? I missed the first 5. Thanks

To 60ssitcomfan:
I'm note sure if CTS will start the cycle again. I'll just have to wait and see. They didn't renew "The Flying Nun" once its number of episodes ran out so I don't know what they'll do here. I'm glad you're following along. I'm enjoying some of these shows too. I haven't seen them since I was a kid. I also wanted to mention that during the Christmas holidays CTS showed a great "Family Affair" episode called "Christmas Came A Little Early" featuring "The Brady Bunch"'s Eve Plumb as a terminally ill classmate of Buffy's whose friendship with Buffy helps her to stay alive. The last scene where Buffy cries in Uncle Bill's arms after she finally realized what was wrong with Eve was an unforgettable moment that stayed with me for a long time afterward. That same night, I happened to see the "True Hollywood Story" on Anissa Jones and that may have been even sadder. If only someone had helped her before it was too late. Thank God for people like Paul Petersen that are around today. He knew what she would have gone through as an ex-child star and is working very hard through his organization "A Minor Consideration" to make sure that similar fates will never happen again. Think of him next time you watch "Family Affair". |
