Default Create a Network...that already exists?

The title might be confusing but instead of creating a network, what would you do with a network that already exists? I will give you an example. Take the ION channel. Now the channel isnt really a channel because they show the same shows with the same episodes for seemingly forever. If you could take over ION what would you do? What changes would you make? What would your schedule look like?

You could do this with all the channels but for me I would like to create programming for some of the channels that to me are having trouble. Channels like My Network TV, ION. For me here in CT., even some of the sports stations like MSG and NESN dont really have programming outside of there sports teams coverage.

So, hopefully this will be a lot of fun. I hope I get responses because I think we have good people on this board with good ideas.

For ex., it seems like ION shows the same shows with the same episodes. What I would do? How about showing Mama's Family, Growing Pains, The Wonder Years, The Odd Couple on ION? Just change the flavor of the channel. Also get some new movies to show for a change.

I like to think that channels should be changed because there are some channels that are hardly worth watching. ION, My Network TV, we pay for cable service however much we pay for it and we get those types of channels with hardly anything on them.

VERSUS instead of the ESPN route that NBC Sports has taken I would do away with all the racing, football, basketball, hockey, extreme sports( except for bull riding), poker and bring it back to its original hunting, shooting, fishing, and outdoors roots.
USA get rid of all of the Law & Order type shows and bring it back to its original roots.
SPIKE can all those cheesy reality shows and get rid of all those CSI type shows (but I'd still keep Deadliest Warrior IMPACT Wrestling and Alternate History) and really make it a network for men.

Actually what I would do is put All My Children and One Life to Live back on ABC where it belongs and ship The Chew and The Revolution to ABC Family. That way it could save up on ABC Family programming(How many times can you burn through a series like 8 Simple Rules, My Wife and Kids etc.?)

ABC is never going to bring back All My Children and One Life to Live. CBS cut two soaps and is now MAKING $100 million per year in daytime only vs. previously LOSING $25 million with their soaps. I'm sure soon enough ABC will be doing the same and laughing all the way to the bank.

AMC the first thing will be to return to the uncut commercial free format and instill a policy of showing no movies younger than ten years old. IFC go back to the original commercial free format and get rid of those caceled network TV shows but keep the original programing.
