Patton Oswalt Lends His Voice to 'Futurama'

Good news, everybody! I swear, it never gets old starting Futurama articles like that.

Comedy Central keeps rolling along with its 50-day campaign to unleash new content each day in preparation for the June 23rd return of Futurama. We've already seen a sneak-peek clip from the gender-bending premiere "Neutopia," but now we've learned that funnyman Patton Oswalt (Ratatouille) will lend his distinctive voice to the premiere' second half "Benderama!"

While "Benderama" (which we first caught a table read of at SDCC 2010) sees our favorite foul-mouthed alcoholic robot endlessly replicating himself to the point of threatening all life on Earth, the famed comedian will provide the voice of a character furthest removed from the image of Patton Oswalt: the "Unattractive Giant Monster." After all, Patton Oswalt is only 5'7".

The episode arrives second in an hour-long June 23rd Comedy Central premiere following "Neutopia," which sees the men and women of the Planet Express crew swapping genders. June 23rd begins the second round of thirteen episodes for Futurama's sixth season, though from a broadcast standpoint this would be the eighth, including the DVD movies. Futurama has also been picked up for additional seasons through 2013, at least.
